Paris Jackson has revealed why she chose to cover over 80 of her tattoos at the 2024 Grammys Awards.

The 25-year-old daughter of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, certainly turned heads at the award ceremony on Sunday (February 4) after undergoing a remarkable makeover.

For the big event held at Crypto.com Arena, the usually tattooed singer's skin was completely pristine and free of all her ink as she stunned in an elegant, strapless black Celine dress.

Taking to Instagram, Jackson shared a time-lapse video that showcased the process of hiding her extensive ink. She expressed her satisfaction with the makeup brand Cover FX by captioning the post: "#CoverFX meant business when they said total cover cream foundation would have me covered." In another post, she added: "In love with my alter ego, thanks to @coverfx Total Cream Foundation."

On Jackson's Instagram page, many fans took to the comment section to praise the young star and highlighted that she looks beautiful with or without her ink on show.

"Beautiful both ways! I can’t believe they covered the tats so well- never seen anything like it!" one shocked user wrote, while another chimed in: "It's so weird to see the tats covered yet refreshing at the same time. You look beautiful either way."

A third also shared a similar sentiment, writing: "With or without tattoos you look beautiful my life since it is a base, you looked very good and you still look good."

And, a fourth added: "You look amazing w/ or w/ out the tattoos. You already know how to BE your OWN ART."

While doing press on the red carpet, the 'Hit Your Knees' musician explained to Entertainment Tonight why she decided to hide her tattoos.

"I love my tattoos, I love my piercings, I love all the body modification stuff, art, and also sometimes I don’t want it to distract from the art that is the fashion I’m wearing," Jackson said.

"And it gives the dress its own moment, you know?" she added.

This isn't the first time Jackson has covered her tattoos up as she previously covered up all her ink back in 2018 - though she didn't have over 80 at that time - for a photo shoot, per PEOPLE.

The 'Let Down' artist also revealed to the same publication in August 2022 that her first tattoo ever was "an alien" that she spontaneously got "on her boob" when she was younger.

"I just wanted it - it's kind of how they all are," Jackson said of her growing collection, adding: "I've done a few of my own."
