After being "snubbed" by Taylor Swift at the recent Grammy Awards, Celine Dion has responded.

The 66th Annual Grammy Awards honored some of the world's best music stars including the likes of Billie Eilish, who won the award for Best Song for 'What Was I Made For?', Miley Cyrus who claimed the victory for Best Record for her number one hit 'Flowers' and of course, Taylor Swift, who managed to make history by claiming the top spot for the fourth time in the Best Album category with her collection of hits from 'Midnights.'

However, the latter award didn't come without controversy much to the shock of a lot of fans.

The 34-year-old was slammed online after she allegedly "snubbed" the presenter of the award, industry veteran Celine Dion.

Dion made her iconic comeback to the industry after stepping away to focus on her battle with stiff-person syndrome, a rare - and incurable - neurological disorder that makes walking difficult and has prevented her from performing like she used to.

The legendary singer, best known for her hit songs like 'My Heart Will Go On' and 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now', presented Swift with the biggest award of the night just moments after receiving a standing ovation herself for bravely taking the stage after such a long time.

While Swift initially seemed excited at the presence of the singer, she seemingly ignored her while taking the Grammy from her hands in what has been described as a "cringey" moment by social media users.

"Taylor Swift just took the album of the year trophy from Celine Dion without batting an eye and/or acknowledging that a legendary [GOAT] was handing her the award. So cringey for my soul," wrote one user while another added: "Taylor Swift acting like Celine Dion isn't up there or like she doesn't understand the magnitude of Celine Dion being there to present her that award at a time like this, is the reason I cannot f*** with her as a person. #GRAMMYs."

A third even compared Swift to Miley Cyrus, who was given her award by Mariah Carey.

"The way Miley Cyrus’s speech was all about Mariah and Taylor Swift didn’t even acknowledge the legend that is Celine Dion, especially with her health issues, on stage with her is annoying as hell #GRAMMYs," they stated.

If you haven't seen it yet, have a look at the awkward moment below:

However, while social media users cannot let the moment go, the feud has seemingly been laid to rest as per a source who told Page Six that the 55-year-old was unfazed by the snub.

"I don’t think Céline cared and they talked backstage afterwards. But Céline was just gracious and happy to be there," the insider said. "Of course, the right thing would have been for Taylor to acknowledge her, like Adele did years ago."

Back in 2017 when Dion presented Adele the Grammy for Song of the Year, the two warmly embraced and Adele made an 'I’m not worthy' hand motion to the star.

Not only that, but other stars made sure to pay respect to the veteran entertainer including Stevie Wonder and Oprah Winfrey, according to the outlet.

"She wanted to show everyone that she’s doing alright," the insider said. "She has good days and bad days... it’s a painful disease, but it’s not a death sentence.

"She’s clearly capable of doing things and she wanted to show everyone that she’s back. She looked fantastic. The hope is that she will be able to perform," they added.

It comes after Dion was forced to cancel her world tour after she announced her illness last year.

We wish Celine Dion well in her battle with the disease.
