Jennifer Lawrence is starring in a new movie but it seems like some people having an issue with the age gap between the leading actress and her co-star.

Lawrence is one of Hollywood's most famous actresses and the movies that feature her usually do very well at the box office, partly because of her appeal.

Though whether that continues with her new project is yet to be seen as she appears in No Hard Feelings, where she is tasked with seducing a 19-year-old.

For reference, Lawrence is 32 years old and during the movie, her character is in desperate need of some quick cash but her fortunes appear to turn when a mother and father hire her to sleep with their "un-f***able" son played by Andrew Garth Feldman.

See the trailer for No Hard Feelings below:

The storyline on IMDb reads: "Lawrence's character portrays the 'ne'er-do-well' who answers a Craigslist ad that was placed to hire a date for an introverted and socially awkward teen boy, by his mother and father, who also just so happens to be preparing for college soon."

Some are pleasantly surprised to see Lawrence taking part in a comedy, especially after some of her more serious roles such as in the Hunger Games series.

Thought it would appear that not everybody is too impressed with the 32-year-old's new project, due to the age difference and sexual content between herself and a young man.

Under the trailer on Facebook, one person wrote: "This is so gross. Just no. 19yo being groomed/seduced by however older she’s supposed to be here (I’m assuming at least 30+ with a house and all of that) this is gross."

A second rightfully pointed out that the events of the movie would be seen a predatory if the tables were turned. They wrote: "Turn the tables on this movie an old guy dating a 19-year-old female... oh my goodness wouldn't there be an uproar."

Though there were supporters for the new movie, which in fairness does look pretty funny.

One supporter said: "It’s actually great to see Jennifer Lawrence play someone not so serious. Everytime I see a movie with her casted she’s always a serious character. Katniss, Mystique, Red Sparrow etc [sic]."

Another added: "Seriously been a while since a trailer actually got me excited about a movie this looks hilarious."

It looks like mixed reviews for the new movie... We'll find out how it goes down when it's released on June 23.
