Piers Morgan isn't happy.

The TV presenter and columnist has taken up arms against Apple’s most recent emoji – which pictures an apparently pregnant man.

Introduced as part of a new batch of gender-inclusive emoji’s which also includes a man with a crown, the 'pregnant man' has divided opinions across social media.

According to Emojipedia, the latest emoji update was released to make the emoji keyboard "more consisted and gender-inclusive."

It also adds that the controversial pregnant man might not even be a pregnant man, saying the symbol can be used "for representation by trans men, non-binary people, or women with short hair."

But that hasn't soothed Morgan's rage. The straight-talking news anchor and journalist took to Twitter to blast the emoji, writing "Apple's new pregnant man emoji. Words fail me. #TheWorldsGoneNuts."

The tweet has racked up thousands of comments and been liked over 18,900 times. Many people jumped to the defense of the new emoji.

"Why do you care," one person commented.

"It's called being accepting of trans men, sorry that offends you," added another.

However, Morgan wasn't the only person incensed by Apple’s latest update. Fox News host Tucker Carlson also had some strong words to say about the emoji, which he discussed while talking about "how dangerous misinformation is."

"Disinformation is not pregnant men. That's real because in the real world men can very easily get pregnant if they don't get the proper precautions," Carlson said sarcastically.

"Apple's new iPhone update includes a reminder of the warning. It's a pregnant man emoji. For the extra cautious the official emoji committee also released a pregnant person emoji since you can also get pregnant even if you don't have a gender. How would that happen exactly? Shut up, it does, Apple says it does," added the news anchor.

Meanwhile, some people have taken a more lighthearted approach to the new emoji, joking that rather than a pregnant man it's representing a man with a beer belly.

"A beer belly emoji. Very inclusive!" one person tweeted.

"Is it okay to use the pregnant man emoji for a beer belly man emoji?" asked another.

The gender-inclusive emojis are just a small selection of the hundreds of new keyboard symbols set to land on the iPhone soon.
