Prince Harry and Meghan Markle release adorable Christmas card with baby Archie
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have released an adorable Christmas card with baby Archie.
The festive picture was made public not through official Royal channels, but on an unverified Twitter account for The Queen's Commonwealth Trust.
Taken in black and white, it shows the family posing by a Christmas tree, with seven-month-old Archie having crawled straight up to the camera lens, putting his parents into the foreground.
In the video below, Royal fans were distracted by the reflection of Prince Harry rocking Archie:
The card, first released as a gif with twinkling Christmas lights, was captioned: "Just sharing the sweetest Christmas Card from our President and Vice-President, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex."
"Very Merry Christmas, everyone!"
The couple's card was adorned with the following message: "Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. From our family to yours."
As per the Metro, the picture is believed to have been taken by Janina Gavankar, a friend of the couples', and it was circulated to friends and staff on Monday via emails, with additional hard copies being sent in the post.
Needless to say, fans of the Royal couple absolutely loved the adorable snap.
One Twitter user wrote: "King Archie even inherited his dad's lip bite. No wonder his mum called him a flirt. Make way ladies the royal heartbreaker is coming through."
Another remarked: "It's so lovely to see King Archie! This child will be bringing glory to [his] family and to [the] world! While his name was announced in Windsor Castle, [a] rainbow appeared over [the] castle which is [a] good omen."
Whereas a third took the picture as an opportunity to thank the Queen's Commonwealth Trust for their hard work in 2019 and expressed a message of hope for 2020.
A spokesperson for the Sussexes has now confirmed the card's authenticity.
