Rebel Wilson has revealed she was sexually harassed by both a "big time" movie director and an actor.

The 41-year-old actress spoke about the incidents in a BBC interview, in which she also discussed receiving push-back from her team over losing weight.

Wilson recalled first how she was harassed by a "big time" director in her twenties when he invited her to speak with him in his hotel room.

The Pitch Perfect star was oblivious to his real intentions, only realizing something was amiss when "he kept trying to give me more and more alcohol."

Then the real red flag came when the director took a phone call from his wife. Wilson could clearly hear their conversation, during which the director's wife shouted down the phone: "You've got Rebel in that hotel room; you were going to sleep with her."

At this point, she suddenly realized what a vulnerable situation she was in. Looking back on the experience she reflected that she had made a lucky escape.

She questioned: "If I hadn't heard her voice on the phone, screaming through the phone, what could've happened?"

Sadly, this incident wasn't the Australian actor's only encounter with sexual harassment. The second incident occurred while she was on a movie set, and one of her male co-stars invited her to his trailer.

When Wilson arrived, she was greeted by her co-star pulling his pants down and asking her to perform sexual acts. A group of his friends was videoing the meeting on their cell phones and laughing, she recalls.

Shocked and confused, Wilson says she left and told the studio what had happened. They revealed that hers was the fourth complaint that had been made against the actor.

Although she ultimately decided to stay working on the project, the Bridesmaids star reflected that she would not stand for such behavior now.

"This was before 'Me Too'. I didn't quite know what to do and I was in a foreign country," she said, adding: "Now I have the courage to be like, OK, that is disgusting."

Wilson's interview with the BBC marked her achievement in being named one of their 100 women of 2021.

Elsewhere, she opened up about her weight loss, saying that her team was initially unsupportive because she was making millions as "the funny fat girl." The actor has lost over 75 lbs since embarking on a year of health in 2021.
