Rihanna and ASAP Rocky may have made us wait nearly a year to see their first child RZA, but they've blessed fans with the first pictures of their second child, Riot Rose, just weeks after he was born.
The couple became parents of two when Riot was born on August 1, having welcomed RZA on May 13, 2022.
Rihanna first revealed her second pregnancy in iconic fashion while performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February, where she showcased her growing bump in a red outfit.
The couple has now taken part in a stunning family photoshoot with their two sons, revealing baby Riot to the world.
See the pictures below:In the snaps, taken by fashion photographer Diggzy, Rihanna can be seen wearing a denim outfit as she cradles baby Riot in a warm fuzzy blanket, while ASAP holds RZA aloft on his shoulders.
In other pictures from the shoot, the family of four is seen standing next to a car, a well as marking around and running down the road together.
RiRi and ASAP are seen gazing dotingly at their newborn who is lying on a patterned blanket in another shot, while in another image RZA is seen playfully covering his face.
Fans were, of course, delighted to get snaps of Riot so soon, commenting: "Rihanna got everything she wanted, I’m so happy for her!!"
Others added: "it’s giving royal family", and: "This is just too much for me to handle in a single day!! STOPPPP".
Another commented: "1st born looks like a carbon copy of dad, 2nd born is carbon copy of mom. So cute!"
Rihanna and ASAP have kept much of their personal life under wraps, especially since becoming parents, so fans were delighted with the rare insight into their beautiful family.
News of Riot's name was first revealed after The Blast obtained documents related to the registration of his birth, which showed that his full name is officially registered as Riot Rose Mayers.
Just like RZA being named after the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan, fans were also quick to work out a musical connection with the couple's second child's name.
Many fans believe that Riot was named after ASAP's second single from his upcoming fourth studio album, Don't Be Dumb, titled 'Riot (Rowdy Pipe'n),' which was released on July 20, 2023.
Riot's birth certificate also confirmed that he was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on August 1, 2023, at 7:41AM.
Rihanna previously addressed why she and ASAP waited so long to reveal RZA's name and first pictures, telling The Associated Press last November that they "just didn't get around to it yet, really."
She added at the time: "We’ve just been living. But I guess there’s a certain freedom that comes with kind of just like getting it out there."
Here's hoping there's many more family photoshoots as excellent as this to come.
