Robert De Niro has reacted to news that 83-year-old Al Pacino is set to welcome another child soon.

Earlier this week, news broke that Pacino and his 29-year-old girlfriend Noor Alfallah are expecting a baby in a matter of weeks. The child is the first the couple has together, though Pacino has three other children from two previous relationships.

The Hollywood legend - best known for his roles as Tony Montana in Scarface and Michael Corleone in The Godfather trilogy - has been quietly dating Alfallah since the pandemic, according to a Page Six report at the time. It was in April last year that the pair were first photographed together after they were seen at an art exhibition alongside Aquaman star Jason Momoa.

Interestingly enough, Pacino is not the first celebrity Alfallah has been linked to. In fact, she's previously dated 78-year-old Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, billionaire investor Nicolas Berggruen, 60, and even seen out and about with 91-year-old Clint Eastwood in Los Angeles. Though, she insisted the latter was a family friend.

News of the impending arrival comes soon after his long-time co-star on multiple projects, 79-year-old Robert De Niro, revealed he'd just become a father for the seventh time. In a discussion with ET Canada about fatherhood back in May, the actor said that he believed "in being loving with [his] kids", though one also has "to be stern about stuff." He added: "I mean, there's no way around it with kids. I don't like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice."

At that moment, the ET Canada journalist then mentioned that De Niro had six kids, before the actor corrected him, saying: "Seven actually. I just had a baby." Following the interview, a representative for De Niro did confirm he is now a father of seven. His newborn daughter was later revealed to have been named Gia.

Shortly after the news broke and went viral, Sex And The City's Kim Cattrall congratulated De Niro and his "significant other" - who is rumored to be his longtime girlfriend Tiffany Chen - at the New York premiere of their film About My Father. Cattrall told Extra: "God bless him, his significant other. Tiffany is such a beautiful woman. She came to the set once with her family and watched filming, and she was gorgeous and sweet. I'm happy for both of them."

Now, De Niro has commented on Pacino's new arrival at a press junket for the upcoming 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, which he founded, telling People: "What a guy. Go Al, God bless him."

De Niro and Pacino have acted together in numerous projects over the years - having both appeared in The Irishman (2019), The Godfather Part II (1974), Righteous Kill (2008), and Heat (1995). During a joint interview with GQ in 2019, the pair spoke about meeting for the first time in their 20s over 50 years earlier, with Pacino saying: "I remember the meeting very clearly. Unbelievably, I saw this guy, I thought, Wow, he's got such charisma.

"He wasn't doing anything. He was just walking. Remember? You know, he was Bob. But you felt something from him," he added.

According to TMZ, Pacino has had a DNA test to confirm that the baby is his, as the outlet reported that the actor didn't believe he was able to have any more children at his age.
