Rosanna Arquette has jumped to Amber Heard's defense amidst her defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp.

The Pulp Fiction star, 62, tweeted her support for Heard this week.

Throughout her legal battle with Depp, Heard has struggled to find high-profile supporters more than her former husband. The two are embroiled in a $50 million defamation trial, with Depp suing his ex over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she claimed the be a survivor of domestic abuse.

Pirates of the Caribbean star Depp maintains that he was the real victim in their turbulent marriage and that Heard's unfair allegations wrecked his reputation and his career. Heard, meanwhile, has doubled down on her claims and countersued for $100 million.

Over the past few weeks, the trial has raged on in Fairfax County Court, Virginia. Both parties have given emotional testimonies from the witness stand, and there has been no shortage of headlines as more and more details about their violent relationship have come to light.

Despite her tearful accounts of times when Depp allegedly beat her within inches of her life, Heard has struggled to find supporters outside of the courtroom on the same scale as her ex-spouse. Depp's devoted fans have flocked to Virginia so they could greet him outside court each morning and flooded social media with the hashtag 'Justice For Johnny'.

And it's not just fans that Depp seems to have won over. Several celebrities including Chris Rock, Eva Green, and Winona Ryder have publically implied that they are on his side.

However, Heard does have some supporters. Last week, Woody Allen's ex-girlfriend - Rosemary's Baby star Mia Farrow - faced the wrath of Depp's devotees and leaped to Heard's defense on Twitter.

"So many women are picking on Amber Heard. Why?" she wrote.

Actor and activist Arquette clearly agreed, tweeting in response: "It's so disturbing."

Meanwhile, UK TV star Rachel Riley has also taken to Twitter to imply that she is on Heard's side.

Last week, the Countdown presenter re-posted a thread titled: "Johnny Depp: a problematic history," with the added caption: "I wouldn’t wish this guy on my worst enemy."
