Samuel L. Jackson has told people to "stay the f*** at home" while reading an NSFW bedtime story amid the coronavirus pandemic.

This comes after Dolly Parton announced that she would be reading bedtime stories that are actually suitable for children during what is a difficult time for everyone.

The actor read the social distancing poem while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Needless to say, the 71-year-old appeared on the show from the comfort of his own home.

The poem was an updated version of Adam Mansbach's poem Go The F*** To Sleep.

"The 'rona is spreading, this s*** is no joke - it's no time to work or roam," Jackson began. "The way you can fight it is simple, my friends: stay the f*** at home."

It continued: "Now technically I'm not a doctor, but mother****** listen when I read a poem, so here I am Samuel L. Jackson, imploring you to keep your arse at home."

Other highlights from the memorable poem included: "Mother*****r it's no time to gamble, look around, you're not at a casino. Just stay the f*** at home as if your name was Trentin Quarantino.

"Sure you can still see your friends, use the mother******g app on your phone, but unless you just ran out of groceries, please, stay the f*** at home."
