Snoop Dogg has turned down a major career venture all because his wife said so - and it was probably a wise idea!

Now, we know Snoop Dogg to be an icon in the world of entertainment.

From successful number-one hits to slightly less successful acting stints (though some would disagree), the 52-year-old has given us some great content throughout his career.

He's earned several accolades for his work including Billboard Music Awards, BET Awards, and MTV Movie Awards.

However, now it could be taking a whole new direction as the rapper revealed that the adult website OnlyFans predicted he'd make a massive nine-figure sum if he got down and dirty on the platform.

Speaking with Slink Johnson on his Instagram Live show 'Wake & Bake with Double S Express', he told the actor that he turned the tempting offer down in order to protect his relationship with his wife.

"They were like, 'OnlyFans wants you to come on there, Snoop. You could do about $100 million. All you gotta do is pull that thang out,'" he told the host.

The 'Drop It Like It's Hot' hitmaker then said he had to let the opportunity pass because he has a "Black wife."

"Ain't no way in the world she gonna allow me to go on there and pull that thang out for no amount of money," Dogg said of his wife, Shante Broadus.

The 52-year-old has been married to his wife since 1997, well over 20 years now. He shares two sons with Broadus, Corde and Cordell, as well as a daughter named Cori.

Dogg also has another son named Julian from a previous relationship.

While the terms and conditions surrounding his deal with OnlyFans were not stated, it seems as though fans won't be seeing any activity from the rapper on the platform any time soon which is surprising given the vast number of rappers who have turned to it to make themselves a couple extra bucks.

Tyga, Iggy Azalea, and Bhad Bhabie have all made themselves a hefty sum posting explicit content on the website with Tyga securing himself a reported $7.69 million, Azalea also reportedly gained a whopping $48 million, and while Bhabie hasn't revealed any figures for 2023, she claimed her net worth is approximately $50 million at the end of 2022 thanks to her racy pics on OnlyFans.

In November 2023, she also posted a screenshot of her 2021 earnings to her Instagram Stories, and over the span of eight months, she managed to gather just under $40 million pre-tax.
