Snoop Dogg's 24-year-old daughter has been hospitalized after suffering from a stroke.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Cori Broadus opened up about having to go to the hospital for a serious medical issue.
"I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me," she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
She heartbreakingly added: "Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this."
While Cori didn't delve any further into what may have caused the stroke, fans took to the comments of her other photos to wish her well.
"Beautiful. I pray you get well and [live] a beautiful life," wrote one user.
"You didn’t do anything, baby. Unfortunately sickness hits one out of the bunch. And at times even if it’s the only child... It’s life baby. It’s Life. Dear Righteous Heavenly Father, heal her, touch her lord, please protect her with your grace, mercy, and strength. In the name of Jesus. You are beautiful, Princess, inside and out. We are asking the lord too heal you," added another.
A third also wrote: "We Love You Choc," referring to Cori by her nickname.
The news comes after the 24-year-old previously opened up to PEOPLE about her ongoing health battle with lupus, which she had been diagnosed with when she was only six years old.
"I've been good, better than I've ever been," she said in September 2023, revealing that she's decided to go for a holistic approach to her journey. "I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago. I'm just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas. I started working out, drinking lots of water. So now I think my body's like, OK, this is the new program and she's getting used to it."
At the time, Cori also admitted that she decided to opt out of western medications as she's been on them her entire life and it made her "feel like [she] was going insane."
"I've had medication since I was six years old, depending on these drugs all my life. So I wanted better for myself," she explained. "I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I'm only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold turkey."
While the decision at the time was a difficult one, she's felt as though it's been helping her.
"My body is not achy," she explained. "When you have lupus, that's one of the number one things. You have achy joints, you have arthritis. And now I'm like, damn, I'm not complaining about my knees, my feet, my hands, my back."
Despite the progress, Broadus said she knows there are still more lifestyle changes to make that could benefit her health especially given that it's been an uphill battle since she tried to end her life in 2021.
"It's continuously a learning process because there's so much more I could be doing," she explained, noting that she still working out a good meal plan as well as an adequate rest schedule.
"If I can do a whole 360 change and just get healthy all around, I think I would be so good," she stated. "But I tell people all the time, it’s a day-by-day process. Things are going to take time. Nothing is going to happen overnight."
We wish Cori a speedy recovery!
