It may have only been out a few days, but Spider-Man: No Way Home is already looking like a superhero classic.

Not only has the hotly anticipated sequel smashed box office records, but fans are clamoring for it to be crowned the best Marvel film yet.

The Sony movie was made in partnership with Disney's Marvel Studios and marks Tom Holland's third outing as the web-slinging superhero.

As well as Holland's returning co-stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, and Jon Favreau, the film also features Dr. Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch, and Benedict Wong.

Even more exciting is the return of Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, who all reprise their bad guy roles from previous Spider-Man films in No Way Home. And as if all that wasn't enough, there's even a couple of surprise stars to get your spidey senses tingling.

Since it hit cinemas last week, No Way Home has grossed an eye-watering $600.8 million worldwide per Hollywood Reporter.

This includes a $260 million opening weekend in the US and Canada, making it the second-biggest domestic debut of all time. Avengers: Endgame (which made $357 million in its opening weekend) holds the top spot, while Avengers: Infinity War (which took $257.6 million) has been edged out of second place.

No Way Home has also made history by becoming the third biggest worldwide opening behind the last two Avengers, and the biggest worldwide opening of all time for Sony's Columbia Pictures.

If all goes as planned, it will also become the first title of the pandemic era to clear the $1 billion mark by the end of its box office run.

Meanwhile, No Way Home may not have hit quite the same box office heights as Avengers: Endgame, but many fans still think it's the best MCU flick to date.

"No way home lived up to the hype. honestly, the best marvel movie all time and possibly one of the best superhero movies of all time," one tweeted.

"No Way Home is the best Marvel movie ever made. I honestly don’t know how another superhero movie will top it anytime soon," agreed another.

"An easy #1 on my all-time favorite Marvel movie list... Also an easy #1 on my all-time favorite Superhero movie list...And I think it's #1 on my favorite overall movie list..." a third wrote.
