MMA fighter delivers 'greatest KO of all time' with rolling thunder kick

When two MMA fighters step into the cage, you never know just how the bout is going to end. It could be a tactical submission, judges decision, or a precise punch to the face for a swift KO. However, one MMA fighter has scored one of the most incredible knock-outs you'll ever see after connecting with spectacular rolling thunder kick.

The match between French fighter Davy Gallon and UFC legend Ross Pearson came to a stunning end with Gallon made the brave decision to leave his feet, perform a flip, and connect his heel to the jaw of Pearson.

Naturally, Pearson could not have seen the high-risk, high-reward move coming and was sent down to the mat totally sparked out.

Check out the spectacular kick in the video below:

The fight took place last night during the MTK MMA: Probellum, with Gallon and Pearson headlining the event. The math was into the third round when Gallon decided he had to pull out all the stops in order to take out his opponent.

If you listen closely, you can even hear one of the commentators shout "s**t" when the kick connects.

Sharing incredible images of the kick, the promotion took to Twitter to congratulate the Frenchman: "WOW! @DavyGallon def. @RossTheRealDeal via a Rolling Thunder Kick KO in the 3rd round! Davy Gallon take a bow!"

MMA journalist Chisanga Malata also tweeted out his surprise at the KO, typing: "As a fan of Ross Pearson from the TUF days, that KO was hard to watch. But take a bow Davy Gallon. That’s the KO of the year for sure. Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone pull off a rolling thunder kick before and KO someone with it."

One Twitter user tweeted out: "But take a bow Davy Gallon. That's the KO of the year for sure. Don't think I've ever seen anyone pull off a rolling thunder kick before and KO someone with it."

Speaking of KOs, who could forget the time Jared Brooks knocked himself out with a vicious slam:

And a second fan said: "Christ on a bike what a KO... this is literally in the final minute of the final round! Flying Rolling Thunder KO."

Of course, there have been many MMA bouts to end in a more... questionable fashion
