UFC fighter Joanna Jedrzejczyk has unveiled her remarkable transformation since suffering a huge hematoma in her brutal fight at UFC 248 in Las Vegas on March 8.

The former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion looked unrecognizable following her loss against Weili Zhang.

The 32-year-old Polish fighter's head started to swell in the third round, but somehow, the defiant Jedrzejczyk managed to battle all the way through to the final bell.

Following the fight, Jedrzejczyk said: "You see my swelling. She did great. There was something missing but I felt all the punches and the swelling was bothering me.

“My head was going on and off. Congrats, champ. I’m very happy we had a good fight."

It was later revealed that Jedrzejczyk had suffered a huge hematoma - a large bruise under the skin, that can cause major swelling. In the worst-case scenarios, the blood needs to be surgically drained.

Now, the fighter has taken to Instagram to share her remarkable transformation with 1.7 million followers after weeks of recovery. The mirror selfie fortunately shows Jedrzejczyk with no swelling, although some minor bruising can still be seen around her eyes.

In the caption, she informs her fans (in Polish) about how she plans to train from her home during self-isolation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jedrzejczyk has also been uploading a series of Instagram stories showing her working out.

Earlier this month, Jedrzejczyk provided her fans with an update on her injury, revealing heavy bruising around her face and neck.

Posting the clip to her Instagram Stories yesterday, Jedrzejczyk said that she is back home in Poland, and is treating herself to a "home spa". Despite still suffering from bruising on her face, Jedrzejczyk did reveal that she is also treating herself to a "mud mask" and that she is doing "good".

Posing for a photograph alongside her sister on the streets of Beverly Hills, California, the discoloration in Jedrzejczyk's skin can be seen - despite her wearing a hat and sunglasses.

She captioned the loving picture: "So happy to have my family with me [...] Love ya sis @ostrowska_kasia [...] Miss ya Ewa [...] So you know I have the best sisters in the world. They are always on my side. What about your siblings Guys? [sic]"

Many fans have since taken to the comments section of that picture to express their respect and gratitude for Jedrzejczyk:

Following their epic battle last week, Zhang said (via a translator) she believed she had done enough to win.

"I was pretty sure I got it. It was a great performance. We are all martial artists here. We don’t want trash talking. We want mutual respect."
