Have you ever been caught on a kiss cam at a sporting event? You know, during a break from the game, a camera pans the audience looking for unsuspecting couples to kiss on the jumbo screen for all to see. Seriously, who doesn't love a good kiss cam moment?

Personally, I've never been smooched on the big screen at a sports game, but it's just as fun to watch couples awkwardly kiss for everyone else to view. I have to admit, though, it's the times that pairs who are only newly dating or are just friends or even those who aren't together at all who are asked to lock lips that make for the best moments.

Some of the more uncomfortable kisses have made for some hilarious entertainment. One of these awkward kisses happened at a New York Knicks game and what happened had the crowd roaring with laughter.

The kiss cam panned the crowd and stopped on a dark-haired couple. The woman took notice of the moment, but her boyfriend completely snubbed her by refusing to look away from his phone. So, without skipping a beat, the woman seized the opportunity to get the perfect revenge on her unapproving beau.

After a lot of shouting, laughter, and applause from the crowd, the woman's boyfriend finally looked up and he was not too happy.

Fans claimed he spent the rest of the game quite upset while the woman was offered plenty of congratulations from their neighboring Knicks fans. One of these fans was 19-year-old Hugo Davies, who filmed the entire memorable moment on his cell phone.

Davies, who is from the UK, was visiting family in New York and said he definitely did not expect what happened on the Knicks game kiss cam. Davies said he was filming because it was his first basketball game.

Up until that point, it had been a regular kiss cam, but "when she kissed the other guy everyone went crazy cheering and laughing. When it did happen I couldn't stop laughing at the time like she totally embarrassed the guy," Davies told the Daily Mail.

Despite the fact that the New York Knicks lost to the Houston Rockets 120-96, Davies says no one was talking about the score at the end of the game. "Everyone was talking about [the kiss] when they left the building, some people even went and high-fived the guy she kissed," he said. "I think the event happened at the end of the 3rd quarter."

However, there are some people claiming the entire kiss cam moment may have either been a prank on the cameraman or was staged for the crowd. After all, this wouldn't be the first staged kiss cam moment in the history of the tradition.

However, Davies doesn't think it was. He said, "I don't think it was staged because the guy looked genuinely angry and embarrassed after, he was blushing dark red for the rest of the game and didn't talk to her afterward."

Yet others who have since watched the video footage online are calling foul. Many are assuming that the three people involved must have been actors due to the exaggerated emotions and expressions. I'll admit, it did seem to flow a little bit too effortlessly.

"Very clearly staged in my opinion. The expressions of the actors, the timing and framing of the shot; it's all very theatrical. I'm not sure how people are convinced this is real," wrote Damien John, who viewed the moment and commented on YouTube.

"So set up. Not real," said another YouTube user named Stephanie L. Davis.

While there has been no official word on whether the moment was real or staged, viewers seem to be divided. Those who were there seem to believe the incident was real, while those who watched online are claiming it must have been faked.

What do you think? Watch the footage and decide for yourself. Regardless of whether or not it was real or faked, it still made for some pretty great entertainment. Maybe one day I'll get my own kiss cam moment, but for now, I'll enjoy watching the video from the Knicks game. It's a pretty epic kiss!
