Sydney Sweeney has spoken out about the "most disgusting" scenes she's ever had to film, and it was during her time on Euphoria.
The actress, 26, shot to fame playing Cassie Howard in the teen drama series, alongside Zendaya as Rue Bennett, Angus Cloud as Fezco, and Jacob Elordi as Nate Jacobs.
The series is well-known for its depiction of drug-taking and nudity as well as long breaks between the two seasons, as fans are still holding out for a third.
Sydney has now opened up about what her least favorite scene was to film, revealing it was a gross encounter in the hot tub.
Fans of the show will be more than familiar with the grim scene in season 2, which comes after Cassie betrays her best friend Maddy (Alexa Demie) by sleeping with her on-off boyfriend Nate behind her back.
Cassie turns to drinking at a house party after having to watch Nate and an unknowing Maddy together all evening, before hopping into a hot tub with them and Kat (Barbie Ferreira) as the troubled couple argue.
Things get awkward after she congratulates them on being back together, to which they both respond that they're not - with Nate confirming it a little too quickly for Maddy's liking.
Cassie is seen looking increasingly upset as the argument continues, before she abruptly projectile vomits in the tub, all over herself and everyone else.
As everyone flees the water in disgust, a distraught Cassie is seen sobbing as she repeatedly says sorry to Maddy for "ruining everything", though she means by sleeping with Nate rather than the vomit incident directly.
Sydney admitted that was the grimmest scene she had to shoot on the show, as she discussed the gross moment on an episode of First We Feast's Hot Ones.
She told host Sean Evans that it was "a lot of work" to nail the horrifying vomiting scene, explaining: "[Director] Sam [Levinson] just wanted it to be projectile vomit everywhere, where a lot of films will just have a cup of mushed up anything that they have mixed up with milk and water and it's the most disgusting thing and you put it in your mouth and hold it, and then you puke it up.
"But Sam, of course, did not want that, he just wanted vomit everywhere so they had to get a pump. And they had this pipe that they just taped and hid on my body and then they CGI-ed it out.
"[It went] up my neck and then there was a horse bit that I had to put in my mouth. And so during that scene, they’re filling my mouth with throwup."
Getting to the crucial moment, Sydney revealed: "And then I opened my mouth, and it just starts shooting out my mouth. And it was the most disgusting thing I ever experienced."
She described the pump as "insane" but admitted the horse bit was the worst part of the experience as it was "huge".
Despite the scenes being uncomfortable for Sydney (and the viewer alike), the attention to detail on the vomiting definitely made for a horrifyingly realistic result.
The Anyone But You star also revealed that she keeps journals for each of the characters she plays, and that Cassie's one is her favorite.
She explained: "Cassie's book is really, really cool. It's the most developed, 'cause I've had so most time with her.
"I have two seasons of her, so she's grown so much. And I was able to have Season 1 and Season 2 and just develop this book, so it's really cool to see how it changes."
Season 3 of Euphoria is expected to be released in 2025.
