The trailer for the highly-anticipated Bad Boys for Life has just been dropped by Sony Pictures.
Set 25 years after the original movie, which was released 17 years ago (don't worry I can feel my hair turning grey too), detectives Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are back, and they're on a mission to unfurl an Atlanta drug cartel.
The pair say to each other in the trailer: "One last time."
To see the trailer for yourself, check out the video below:However, despite being older, it's clear that the not-so-dynamic duo are none the wiser, with the pair bickering in the trailer. And despite planning to calmly knock on a door, Mike kicks it in and shouts: "LAPD! Get down."
Marcus, clearly baffled, then shouts: "What the hell happened to 'knock and talk'?!"
Smith announced that the new movie was a go-go on social media, sharing a clip of him and Lawrence and writing: "No, no, I'm telling y'all, I'm telling y'all, this is crazy, wait, wait, just wait... it's official, it's official. Bad Boys 3, it's happening, it's official. I'm telling you that's it - no more, you can't handle no more."
He captioned the clip: "It's been a LOOOONG time coming. But now it's Here! @BadBoys For Life. We back!! @martinlawrence."
Lawrence then shared the clip, writing: "It's official. Bad Boys for Life. #teammartymar #badboysforlife@willsmith #weback."
Meanwhile, behind-the-scenes snaps from the movie's set have been shared over on its official Instagram account. There, it was announced that filming had finished in April, and fans of the franchise have been eagerly waiting on a trailer to drop since.
Bad Boys for Life is scheduled to be released on January 17, 2020. With a budget of around $100 million (£77.8m), if nothing else, it's set to be visually spectacular.
What do you think of the trailer? Has it whet your appetite for the movie or do you need more convincing?
