Now, a celebrity having a few celebrities over to their house for dinner doesn't really seem like a big deal, does it? After all, that's just a dinner party with work colleagues, which actually sounds kind of dull. However, Kristen Bell has taken things up more than a few notches with her most recent celebrity get together.

Whole vacationing in Swan Valley, Idaho, the Good Place star decided to invite a few pals over for dinner and shared a whole host of snaps from the evening on her official Instagram account.

Nobody was prepared for the sheer level of star power that was amassed around the dining table, though.

The gathering took place at South Fork Lodge, which was bought by Jimmy Kimmel back in 2020. And the guest list reads like a who's who of Hollywood's A-List.

Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox were in attendance, as were Jason Bateman, Adam Scott, John Mulaney and Olivia Munn. Towards the head of the table the aforementioned Kimmel can also be seen, along with CNN's Jake Tapper. YouTuber Mark Rober and actress Shiri Appleby are also pictured, as of course, was Bell's husband and actor Dax Shepard.

The Frozen star shared a carousel of photos from the evening, set against an idyllic Idaho backdrop. Family pictures against the backdrops of mountains and waterfalls are pretty spectacular, with Bell and Shepard's daughters Delta, 8 and Lincoln, 10 making appearances.

A summer trip to Idaho appears to be a tradition for the family, as Bell also shared snaps from there around the same time last year, with another star studded dinner party being organised then as well. Kimmel was in attendance for that one too, as was his wife Molly McNearney and CNN's Tapper as well.

Shepard also posted a collection of photographs from the trip, captioned, "Humidity. Sunsets. Olfactory bliss. Kind hosts. #BigBrown in a meadow, complete with a 50 amp outlet. Pontoon jungle cruise. Dearest Summer, please never end."

Bell's post has, unsurprisingly, been incredibly well received by her 15 million followers, amassing over 750,000 likes and over 4,000 comments. Tapper himself commented, "Excited to join your new cult" while Courteney Cox dropped a simple, "So fun" in the replies.

YouTuber Rober commented, "What a lovely trip with so many good humans :) Love your entire family just so dang much."

However, not everyone was thrilled with the picture, with many users on Twitter commenting on the lack of diversity on display.

One Twitter user tweeted, "the white in this photo is killing me," while another quote tweeted, adding, "Okay. Now I'll say it. Kristen Bell having a friends table, which was posted as "OMG spot the celebrity!!!" Hit me as odd because she apparently doesn't have any Black costars... It just low key confirms how Hollywood is a White protected ingroup and little has actually changed."

Another user said, "I’ve been thinking about this photo for like 24 damn hours. Like. Not one? Not one person of color? And I super dig Kristen Bell so this is like highly disappointing but then there was the damn “purple people be color blind race doesn’t exist” children’s book she did and pfft."
