Kyle Chrisley, the son of reality star Todd Chrisley, has been arrested in Tennessee on suspicion of aggravated assault.

As reported by People, Smyrna Police Department revealed in a press release obtained by the publication that the 32-year-old got into a physical confrontation with a supervisor at a truck rental company.

During the incident, Kyle - who is the son of the 54-year-old reality TV star and his ex-wife Teresa Terry - allegedly waved a "fixed blade," and the next day he "voluntarily appeared ... for booking procedures related to the active criminal warrant".

As stated by CBS News, law enforcement disclosed that he was transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and his bond was set at $3,000.

Kyle's wife, Ashleigh Chrisley, spoke with Page Six about the physical altercation claims and insisted: "Kyle has a knife that he carries for work, but he did not pull it out or brandish it, nor did he use it on the person," adding, "He will plead not guilty."

According to her, he got into "a verbal disagreement" with a fellow employee while at work and claimed: "The other guy pushed him, turning things physical. It was self-defense on Kyle's side."

After the incident, the wife said her partner "was told to leave" and that he agreed, stating that "an arrest warrant was later issued for aggravated assault".

"When Kyle was made aware of the warrant, he turned himself into Smyrna Police Department," she claims, adding that she "posted his bond" as soon as he was booked.

Kyle's arrest comes two months after his father - who was sentenced to 12 years in prison - reported to Federal Correctional Institution (FPI) Pensacola in Florida, a minimum security facility.

Meanwhile, stepmom Julie Chrisley - who was sentenced to seven years in prison - was initially set to report to FCI Marianna in Jackson County, Florida, but instead was sent to Federal Medical Center Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky.

Back in August 2019, the Chrisley Knows Best stars pleaded not guilty to 12 counts, including wire fraud and conspiracy to commit bank fraud. However, in June last year, they were found guilty by an Atlanta federal jury on all counts.

Five months later, in November, Todd was officially sentenced to 12 years behind bars, while his 50-year-old wife was sentenced to serve seven. They have also been ordered to serve an additional 16 months of probation following release from prison.

According to Insider, the prosecutors found out the couple used loans to live a lifestyle they couldn't afford by purchasing expensive cars, houses, and taking luxurious trips, while also concealing money from the IRS to evade paying taxes.

Following their sentencing, Kyle quoted the Bible verse Matthew 7: 1-3 on his Instagram Story, which read: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged."

"For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Who do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" the verses concluded.

Due to Kyle's mental health struggles, his father and stepmom have full custody of his 10-year-old daughter, Chloe Chrisley - whom he shares with ex-Angela Johnson.

However, Kyle's 25-year-old half-sister, Savannah Chrisley gained custody of Chloe and her younger brother, 16-year-old Grayson Chrisley due to the couple's imprisonment.

In addition to his son, the real estate mogul shares 33-year-old daughter Lindsie Chrisley - who was estranged from him for years - with his ex-wife. He shares Savannah, Grayson, and 26-year-old Chase Chrisley with Julie.

Kyle is due back in court on March 20, per People.
