Savannah Chrisley has revealed her plans to take custody of her brother Grayson and niece Chloe after her parents, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, are sentenced to prison.
On Monday (November 21), 53-year-old Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison and 16 months probation, while 49-year-old Julie was sentenced to seven years in prison, plus 16 months probation, per WSB-TV Atlanta.
The Chrisley Knows Best stars were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud back in June and were handed down their sentences after prosecutors alleged that they used false documents to get $30 million in bank loans, as well as failing to pay back more than $20 million in debt.
And on Tuesday (November 22), the couple's 25-year-old daughter Savannah shared the latest episode of her podcast, Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, which was recorded prior to the couple's fateful court verdict.
Check out her podcast episode below:Savannah, who is best known for starring in Growing Up Chrisley from 2014 to 2021, was emotional during her podcast episode, as she thought about her parents' future. She explained that she has "never been away from" her family over the holidays.
"I know that the short term is going to be really difficult and I may come home without both of my parents. That's what the chances are, that's the likelihood and that's my new normal," she said.
The Sassy cosmetics creator also said that the "hardest part" of her mother and father’s legal battle is taking over custody of Grayson, 16, and Chloe, 10.
She was tearful as she envisioned the possibility of raising her sibling and niece, saying: "I come home Tuesday, and I have custody of a 16-year-old and a 10-year-old, and we spend our first Thanksgiving, not as a family."
Savannah then spoke of feeling guilty that the little ones will have "to worry about where" their parents are, explaining: "I think that's the hardest part, is me trying to navigate how to teach two children who aren't fully developed yet, that."
"And how to navigate the circumstances. That's a really difficult thing," she said, adding, "I have to be a positive role model for Chloe and Grayson."
"No matter how hard it gets, I have to show up," the former reality star said, vowing to give her loved ones "love and hugs," which they "need more than anything right now."
While Grayson is yet to react to the sentencing via social media, after Monday's court hearing, Savannah took to Instagram to defend her parents by sharing a quote from pastor Kimberly Jones, a.k.a. Real Talk Kim.
"Noah didn't stop building the ark to explain himself to everyone who doubted and hated on him," the post by Jones reads. "Keep building your ark. The rain will do the talking."
Last month, Savannah opened up about her parents' legal woes on an episode of her Unlocked podcast when her mother was a guest. She revealed that Julie was "handling it way better than I am," however, her mom disagreed.
She also shared her feelings ahead of her parents' sentencing, saying at the time: "That's where I'm at, being so angry because my whole life could change."
"And I don't mean money. But the two people that I've always had there for me and that's been my support system and who I've leaned on," she explained. "It makes me so angry to see two people who are constantly stepping up for people and then, it's like, 'When are people gonna step up for them?'"
