Trailer drops for season 3 of 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'

The trailer for the much-anticipated season three of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been released.

Entitled Straight to Hell, it follows the number one teenage witch in Greendale as she continues to battle against the Dark Lord. Now, in case your memory needs jogging, at the end of the second season, the Dark Lord is seemingly defeated when he is put into Nick's body and sent back to Hell. However, the Devil being the Devil, we knew, even then, that it was never going to be that simple.

The show's synopsis reads: "Part Three finds Sabrina reeling from the harrowing events of Part Two.

"Though she defeated her father Lucifer, the Dark Lord remains trapped within the human prison of her beloved boyfriend, Nicholas Scratch.

"Sabrina can't live with herself, knowing that Nick made the ultimate sacrifice and is suffering, burning in Hell under Madam Satan's watchful eye."

The synopsis continues: "So with an assist from her mortal friends, 'The Fright Club' (consisting of Harvey, Rosalind, and Theo), Sabrina makes it her mission to free him from eternal damnation and bring him back into her arms."

However, because the Devil was in charge of so much, he needs a replacement to keep order and that job falls to Sabrina when the realm faces a challenger in the form of the Prince of Hell Caliban.

"Meanwhile, in Greendale, a mysterious carnival rolls into town, bringing with it a threat to the Spellmans and the coven: A tribe of pagans looking to resurrect an ancient evil..."

Starring Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina, the third season of the show will also see the return of Jaz Sinclair, Lachlan Watson and Ross Lynch as her friends Rosalind, Theo, and Harvey. And let's not forget her aunts Hilda and Zelda, who are played by Miranda Otto and Lucy Davis.

Season three of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina drops on Netflix on January 24.
