United Airlines is unveiling a 'Star Wars'-themed plane

To celebrate the release of the final installment in the current Star Wars trilogy, The Rise of Skywalker, United Airlines has partnered with the franchise to create a Star Wars plane, which will be officially revealed to the world in November.

But here's what we know so far about the plane that will take you to a galaxy far far away (or, y'know, your chosen destination).

This is the final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker:

The plane is a Boeing 737-800, and it will have a suitably Star Wars-themed exterior. Passengers will enter and be greeted by the franchise's iconic music and its safety videos will include cameos from Yoda and Chewbacca. Obviously.

Even the headrests of the plane will be Star Wars themed and are embossed with emblems of the film's dueling factions, the Resistance and the First Order.

Check out the promotional video for the plane:

But perhaps best of all, passengers will also have various keepsakes of their journey and will be given a themed amenity kit featuring tissues, earplugs, a toothbrush, and products by skincare company Sunday Riley, Insider reports.

"United Airlines and the 'Star Wars' franchise share a common goal: connect people and unite the world," Mark Krolick, United's vice president of marketing, said in a statement.

"We are thrilled to join forces and help promote the concluding chapter of the Skywalker story, while at the same time enlisting help from our new friends from the 'Star Wars' universe to demonstrate the importance of safety for our customers and colleagues."

So, where can you catch the Star Wars-themed plane? Well, it will be flying throughout the US, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean.

To celebrate the plane's creation, the airline's MileagePlus members can also bag themselves tickets to Star Wars-themed experiences including the premieres of The Rise of Skywalker in Los Angeles and London by bidding on them.

The Rise of Skywalker is set to be released on December 18.
