Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's children have opened up about their "private" family matters which were recently made public by their mother.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, a source revealed that Willow Smith and Jaden Smith, along with Trey Smith, whom Will shares with his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino wish some of their family matters "remained private."
"They know he has been going through a lot lately and this isn't helping," the source says of the Smith kids. "They wish some of their family's private matters remained private."
As for the 55-year-old actor, the source says he's "trying to stay busy and has been hanging out with his good friends and his kids."
"He's trying not to let any outside noise impact him," the source added. "Will loves Jada and feels like he has always had her back and always will. He has been trying to be supportive, while also taking care of himself."
And we saw evidence of this in a recent Instagram post posted to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's social media account which showed him seemingly unbothered by the uproar going on around him.
The post in question was a video featuring the actor lying down on a boat while several phone notifications blow up his phone in the background.
In the background, you can hear a voiceover saying: "Fun fact about me: I can take a nap almost anywhere."
Will captioned the clip: "Notifications off :)".
In an interview with the New York Times, the star admitted that "emotional blindness" has set in for him.
"When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in," he said. "And you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties."
It seems the memoir's revelations were an eye-opener for Will, admitting that they "kind of woke [him] up."
He went on to praise the Girls Trip actress, recognizing her as being more "resilient, clever, and compassionate"than he had previously thought.
The news comes after Jada revealed that she and her husband had been separated for seven years.
Speaking of the book during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the actress stated that she and Will were "still figuring things out," before saying: "We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us."
She also noted that her children helped her build her confidence over the past few years.
"My children, they’re little gurus. They’ve taught me a deep sense of self-acceptance," she told the outlet. "They love every part of me. The level of love, unconditional love that they have for me and their dad. And it's one thing to want to be the person that gives that unconditional love. And then there's, to be the recipient of that."
