YouTube sensation Jeffree Star has switched up his high-glamour lifestyle for more of a lowkey approach to life.

The controversial makeup mogul, 35, was always known for getting himself into trouble, but it seems as though that's all in the past.

Star has decided to sell his $20 million LA mansion, and move full-time into his established residency in Casper, Wyoming, a city of 58,000 where he snapped up a $1.1 million ranch.

He's traded in his famous bright pink mansion, with its luxury closet and designer purse vault, for over 500 acres of land with more than 40 yaks.

While the beauty guru still posts photos in full glam on his Instagram account, his 13.5 million followers are now treated to frequent images of his yak ranch.

What's more, he's even kickstarted his own Instagram account dedicated to his newfound lowkey lifestyle.

Star was at the peak of his popularity in November 2019, when he and now-disgraced YouTuber Shane Dawson sold out of their conspiracy-themed makeup collection.

In the past, Star's name was also plagued by racism and sexual assault allegations, which saw him lose most of his influencer allies.

Despite his controversial past, it seems as though Star has settled in nicely in the little town of Casper, Wyoming.

Star has posted nearly two dozen pictures of his yak herd on social media, oftentimes cuddling up to them, but he hasn't made clear what his purpose is for raising yaks.

He has also warned locals and fans alike to stay away from Star Yak Ranch, which is not open to the public. Star, who poses frequently with weapons, wrote online that trespassers will be shot.

It's not known why the YouTuber decided to uproot his whole life to Wyoming, however the state has no personal income tax - something that could be the driving factor behind his decision.

It comes as Star was voted as one of the most disliked influencers in 2021.

With 16.5 million YouTube subscribers and a line of successful makeup lines, it's safe to say he has found a way to monetize extreme controversy.
