George and Amal Clooney showed us the true definition of 'couple goals' after the 61-year-old helped his wife avoid a wardrobe malfunction over the weekend.
The iconic duo attended this year's annual Kennedy Center Honors ceremony where they stunned fans with their beautiful ensembles. George showed us that he's still got it in his black tux and bowtie, while Amal looked as graceful as ever in a red, off-the-shoulder Valentino gown.
But it wasn't just the couple's beauty that caught people's attention.
While walking along the red carpet and posing for photos, George came to the aid of his wife, an accomplished lawyer, whose cape seemingly got tangled as she stood in front of the cameras.
Instead of just turning a blind eye, the Gravity actor proceeded to take a step back from the photo shoot and help his wife out.
After undoing the little mishap, the 61-year-old jokingly posed for a photo with his hands in the air as if to say "ta-dah" - much to the amusement of onlookers in attendance at the gala.
During that time, Amal went from looking slightly flustered to then smiling at her husband.
And of course, the internet was loving it!
"That’s so beautiful! Wonderful husband and I can tell your a team" (sic), commented one user, while another added: "Seems like every day there's more to love about George Clooney."
The heartwarming moment came just before the two-time Academy Award winner was given an award for his achievements in the entertainment industry as well as American culture as a whole.
As per ABC News, George released a statement on the Kennedy website after receiving the honor, writing: "Growing up in a small town in Kentucky I could never have imagined that someday I’d be the one sitting in the balcony at the Kennedy Center Honors. To be mentioned in the same breath with the rest of these incredible artists is an honor.
"This is a genuinely exciting surprise for the whole Clooney family."
Other prominent figures were also in attendance for the show, including the President of the United States Joe Biden, and his wife, Jill. Vice President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff made an appearance at the event too.
Beyond just recognizing talent, the gala is also an opportunity to raise money for the Kennedy Center, which puts on a variety of shows throughout the year.

Despite his famous hesitations about being a parent in the past, George Clooney wouldn't change the experience for the world.
The actor opened up about what being a father means to him, as well as the "very emotional" moment he and his wife Amal decided to have children.
Speaking with Marc Maron on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast, the 60-year-old recalled the day he found out he and wife Amal were expecting twins.
"Listen, I didn't want to get married. I didn't want to have kids. And then this extraordinary human being walked into my life and I just fell madly in love. Then I knew from the minute I met her that everything was going to be different," he said.
"I didn't know I'd have twins," he says. "There is that moment when you go to the doctor and they pull out this piece of paper which is a sonogram and they go, 'Here' and you go, 'It's a baby boy.' I'm like, 'Baby boy, fantastic,' " he recalled.
"And then they said, 'And the other one is the girl' and I was like, 'Oh s**t.' [Amal's] sister has twins and I was gobsmacked because... I was kind of up for one. … I love it now," he says of being a dad to four-year-old twins Ella and Alexander. "And thank God they have each other during the pandemic."
The Ocean's Eleven star also spoke about when he and Amal first discussed having kids together.
"So we've been married for about a year and we were at a friend's house, and they had a kid there which was loud and obnoxious and I was like, 'Holy s**t.'
"We went outside for a walk. And she'd never thought about it, really. And so then she said, 'We are awfully lucky in life.' And I said, 'Yeah, we are lucky we found each other,'" Clooney recalled. "She said, 'Seems like that luck should be shared with some other folks.'"
The actor said he "thought about it for maybe a minute" and didn't think either of them had "made a decision" about kids at the time.
"And then I just said, 'Well, I mean, if you're in' and she said, 'I think we should try.' I have to say it was very emotional because I really was convinced that wasn't my lot in life and was comfortable with that," he added.
Elsewhere in the interview, Clooney shared the one thing that he wants to instill in his children.
"I'm really aware of a couple of things, which is I'm aware of the danger of celebrity with kids and I'm aware of the danger of having means with kids," he said, recalling his own childhood when his family moved around due to his father's jobs.
"I learned to be scrappy because of that. You can put me in any situation, I can survive. I can survive anything. I had to make sure that that's something that our kids get. That's important to me," he added.

There are plenty of celebrity couples out there that are so hard to relate to, but some come across as likeable even though we know they have millions more to their name than we do. One such couple is Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, who often share adorable photos of their children on Instagram or hilarious stories on Twitter. Another is George Clooney and his wife Amal.

The actor has previously shared his heartwarming story of the moment he knew she was 'the one', but now Amal has made a beautiful speech about her partner. "Here are a few things you may not know about [George]," she said. "First, he is a gentleman. He is a gentleman in every sense of the word and in a way that seems so rare these days and perhaps even outdated."
"I think it’s incredible talent and character that got him here. And these attributes also make him an amazing husband and father. I met George when I was 35 and starting to become quite resigned to the idea that I was going to be a spinster.
"Then we met and started hiding out in my London flat and very soon it felt like, no matter what happened, I would never want to be with anyone else."

While this alone would have been a wonderful way to describe the man she loves, she went on to describe how her love for him has grown over their half decade together, congratulating him on his award and all that he offers as a husband and father. She said:
"I couldn’t sleep when we were apart and I’m told that I would display a particular grin and head-tilt when reading his text messages or the letters he would hide in my bag. Five years later, none of that has changed. He is the person who has my complete admiration and also the person whose smile makes me melt every time.

"My love, what I have found with you is the great love I always hoped existed. And seeing you with our children, Ella and Alexander, is the greatest joy in my life.
"You fill our home with laughter and happiness and that’s even before the children have worked out that ‘da-da’ is Batman, a talking fox, and friends with Mary Poppins. I’m so proud of you my love.
"Congratulations on this great honor that you’re receiving tonight. I’m proud of you, but I also know that when our children find out not only what you have done, but who you are, they will be so proud of you too."
In the video, you can see how emotional George is early on in her speech to him, and is brought to tears before the end - and be honest, so were you - right?

George Clooney has spoken out about his wealth and why he once turned down $35 million for a day's work.
The 60-year-old actor recently spoke to The Guardian about his recent projects and ever-increasing wealth. During the interview, the Ocean's Eleven star was asked if he ever says to himself: "You know what? I think I have enough money now."
To which, Clooney responded: "Well, yeah. I was offered $35m for one day’s work for an airline commercial, but I talked to Amal about it and we decided it’s not worth it."
Clooney married wife Amal, a human rights lawyer, back in September of 2014. The ceremony took place at the Ca' Farsetti palace in Venice, Italy, and the pair were married by the former mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni.
After confiding in his wife about the airline commercial, Clooney went on to explain: "It was [associated with] a country that, although it’s an ally, is questionable at times, and so I thought: 'Well, if it takes a minute’s sleep away from me, it’s not worth it.'"
Forbes magazine states that, back in 2017, Clooney received an annual take-home higher than any actor in history - but it wasn't for a movie role, it was for his tequila.
Clooney co-founded the tequila company Casamigos with friends Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman, and the trio's hard work quickly led to it becoming the fastest-growing super-premium tequila brand in the United States.
Casamigos was eventually acquired by British liquor giant Diageo for $700 million.
Check out the trailer for Clooney's latest project, The Tender Bar:Elsewhere in the interview, Clooney revealed how he has been able to become one of the most successful actors alive today, without having any scandals or public embarrassments against him - and he puts it all down the age.
He says: "I was 33, 34 when ER took off, so I was older, right?"
Comparing his trajectory into fame with his aunt, beloved singer Rosemary Clooney, he explained: "Rosemary was a huge singer – huge! And then rock’n’roll came and she lost her career. And she didn’t get it, because at 21 she thought she was the real deal and by 26 it was gone. So, I’m lucky enough to understand how little the fame side has to do with me."
