Actor Anthony Rapp accused Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting him at a party when he was only 14 years old. Then eight employees from 'House of Cards' came forward with stories about how Kevin sexually harassed them while on set. Netflix severed all ties, dumping Kevin from the sixth (and final) season of their flagship show. Sony Pictures even cut him from the movie All The Money In The World, replacing him with Christopher Plummer, and reshooting all of his scenes - after the movie was already completed! Just like that, the 58-year-old Academy Award-winning actor's career collapsed, like American beauty. I mean, a house of cards. But did you know Kevin Spacey has a brother? And more shockingly, his brother has a full head of hair, and looks like Rod Stewart? Randy Fowler, 62, published an explosive book about his traumatic childhood just weeks after Kevin's sexual assault allegations. In his first interview since then, he spoke to The Sun about his famous brother, and their monstrous father, Thomas Fowler, whom they nicknamed "The Creature." "I heard Kevin checked himself into some sex addiction clinic - well excuse me but you’re in the wrong building. It's far more serious than that, " said Randy. "All my life I thought I had protected Kevin from my father and it turns out it’s all for nothing because he’s worse than my father, The Creature." In Randy's book, A Moment In Time, he describes how his father abused him, beating him, whipping him, and much, much worse. "He would push me up against the wall and sodomize me," said Randy. "My mother would be banging on the door saying ‘What’s going on in there?’ And he’d have his hand on my neck telling me to shut up and she’d just walk away." Oh, and just in case you don't hate the man enough already, Randy says his dad was also a Nazi sympathizer. So, just the total package of awful. After being raped every week "for about a year," Randy finally reached his breaking point. When the Creature started shouting for him once again, he ran to hide in his father's closet and discovered a weapon - a German Luger. "I figured out how to load it and I crouched on my knees and waited, sweating like a pig and scared shitless," said Randy. Luckily, his father didn't find him. "If he would have opened the door it would have been all over. I would have pulled the trigger." Did Thomas Fowler inflict this type of abuse on Kevin, too? "I always thought I saved my brother from him," said Randy. "But since all these allegations have come out against him I have started to wonder whether he was abused too...but seeing as though he never speaks to me I’ll probably never know." In his book, Randy has harsh words for his brother. He describes Kevin as a "pathological liar," claims he is rude is fans, and says he had a "creepy" relationship with their mother, treating her more like "a lover." Six months before their mother's death, Randy asked Kevin to buy him a plane ticket so he could visit her, but Kevin refused. Finally, when she was on her deathbed, Kevin obliged, but it was too late. "My mother was in a vegetative state so I never got to resolve anything or have the conversation about my abuse," said Randy. "Kevin stole that from me."

"When he finally let me come, I remember I was sat next to her and he literally pushed me out of the way because he didn’t want me next to her," revealed Randy. "He was so clingy and jealous...their relationship was very strange...she used to hang all over him like a cheap suit...there have been rumors floating round the family [but] it’s not just something I speculate on."

After all these years, Randy hopes to reconnect with Kevin, although his brother's abusive behavior brings back memories of his brutal father. "Kevin was a king on his throne but he has now been dethroned by all these allegations; taking advantage of people using his wealth and power, " says Randy. "All my life I thought I had protected Kevin from my father and it turns out it’s all for nothing because he’s worse than my father, The Creature." But most importantly, Randy hopes that by sharing his harrowing story, he can help others who’ve suffered from similar experiences. "Kick harder, scream louder, scratch deeper. Somebody is going to hear you," says Randy. "Come out from living in the shadows and break the chains of silence and shame of abuse."

Things just keep getting worse for Kevin Spacey. After apologizing for possibly (he was drunk and doesn't recall) sexually harassing a 14-year-old actor named Anthony Rapp, the famous actor is now being accused of sexual harassment by eight of his fellow staffers and employees on House of Cards. It seems that Mr. Spacey never quit allegedly sexually harassing his fellow male actors. These eight people spoke to CNN, and several of their stories were detailed in print. A former production assistant describes a pretty traumatizing story of sexual assault, where he was picking up Kevin Spacey to drive him to a shooting site for the show. The production assistant had to drive him into Baltimore for 30 miles, when he alleges that Spacey reached down his pants while he was driving. "I was in a state of shock. He was a man in a very powerful position on the show and I was someone very low on the totem pole and on the food chain there." Later, inside a trailer on the show's set, Spacey stopped him from leaving. Physically blocking him inside the trailer and making "inappropriate contact" with his body, the assistant finally said: "I don't think I'm ok with this, I don't think I'm comfortable with this." At that point, Spacey, embarrassed, left the trailer in a huff. Eventually, he told a supervisor about what had happened, and from that point on, Spacey and the production assistant were not allowed to be alone together any longer on set. The assistant said: "I have no doubt that this type of predatory behavior was routine for him and that my experience was one of many and that Kevin had few if any qualms about exploiting his status and position. It was a toxic environment for young men who had to interact with him at all in the crew, cast, background actors." A member of the crew who had worked on all six of the show's seasons also had a Spacey story. He said: "He would put his hands on me in weird ways. He would come in and massage my shoulders from behind or put his hands around me or touch my stomach sometimes in weird ways that in normal everyday conversation would not be appropriate...that's the worst part about this whole thing. I would love to be able to speak out about this kind of stuff and not fear." A former assistant who did camerawork on the show said: "All the crew members commented on his behavior. What gets me is we have to sign sexual harassment paperwork before the start of the show and apparently [Spacey] doesn't have to do anything and he gets away scott-free with this behavior." "Who is going to believe crew members?" he lamented. "You're going to get fired." A representative for MRC, the company which produces House of Cards for Netflix, said: "We are deeply troubled to learn about these new allegations that are being made to the press concerning Kevin Spacey's interaction with members of the crew of House of Cards. As the producer of the show, creating and maintaining a safe working environment for our cast and crew has always been our top priority. We have consistently reinforced the importance of employees reporting any incident without fear of retaliation and we have investigated and taken appropriate actions following any complaints. For example, during our first year of production in 2012, someone on the crew shared a complaint about a specific remark and gesture made by Kevin Spacey. Immediate action was taken following our review of the situation and we are confident the issue was resolved promptly to the satisfaction of all involved. Mr. Spacey willingly participated in a training process and since that time MRC has not been made aware of any other complaints involving Mr. Spacey."

At the beginning of this week, Kevin Spacey made headlines for all the wrong reasons when it emerged that he had made inappropriate sexual advances to a 14-year-old boy in 1986. His accuser was Anthony Rapp - now 46 - an actor and Broadway performer. After offering a halfhearted apology (which focused more on his sexuality and his excuse that he was drunk than the fact that he came onto an underage boy), Spacey seemed to think that the matter was over and done with. However, just days later, another Hollywood personality came forward and claimed he was groped by the American Beauty star in 2003. Since then, even more people have made statements that Spacey behaved inappropriately towards them, and yesterday it transpired that eight of his fellow House of Cards co-workers had complaints about the 58-year-old actor. As a result, Netflix have severed their ties with him. In a statement released by the film and TV subscription service, a spokesperson said: "Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey. "We will continue to work with MRC [series producer Media Rights Capital] during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show." However, even before the allegations came to light, there was word that the current season of House of Cards would be the final one anyway. But that wasn't the only show that Spacey was working on with Netflix. "We have also decided we will not be moving forward with the release of the film Gore, which was in post-production, starring and produced by Kevin Spacey," said the spokesperson. The film in question was a biopic about the American writer Gore Vidal, who passed away in 2012. [[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/brandonwrites/status/926723231935066112]] MRC also released a statement in light of the accusations that have been levelled against Spacey, saying that they are "deeply troubled" to learn of his actions, and that "maintaining a safe working environment for [their] cast and crew has always been our top priority". They also mentioned a previous incident involving Spacey, which was apparently dealt with immediately after it happened: "During our first year of production in 2012, someone on the crew shared a complaint about a specific remark and gesture made by Kevin Spacey. Immediate action was taken following our review of the situation and we are confident the issue was resolved promptly to the satisfaction of all involved. Mr. Spacey willingly participated in a training process and since that time MRC has not been made aware of any other complaints involving Mr. Spacey." One production assistant involved with the show was actually banned from working with the actor after he complained about Spacey's "inappropriate touching". "I have no doubt that this type of predatory behavior was routine for him and that my experience was one of many and that Kevin had few if any qualms about exploiting his status and position," the assistant said. "It was a toxic environment for young men who had to interact with him at all in the crew, cast, background actors." Spacey himself has yet to comment on any of the accusations that have emerged after Rapp's original allegation, but many people are using the incidents - along with the recent news of Harvey Weinstein's abusive behaviour - to highlight the insidious problem of sexual assault and manipulation in Hollywood. Kevin Spacey broke down in tears during a recent interview as he opened up about the impact the allegations made against him have had.

Spacey has largely been out of the spotlight since 2017, when he first faced allegations of sexual misconduct. At the time, he was the lead star of Netflix's House of Cards, but the streaming service cut ties with him in light of the accusations.

Spacey also faced criticism for coming out as gay in response to the allegations.

In July 2023, Spacey stood trial in the UK for multiple sexual offenses against four men but was acquitted on all counts.

In October 2022, he won a US civil lawsuit after being accused of an unwanted sexual advance at a party in 1986, per Sky News.

In a recent hour-and-a-half interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan, Spacey admitted to "bad behavior" in the past.

When pressed by Morgan on what he meant, Spacey said: "Pushing the boundaries… being too handsy… touching someone sexually in a way that I didn't know at the time they didn't want."

When Morgan asked if this included "groping people," Spacey replied: "Yeah," but clarified his viewpoint.

"Grope is a very odd word," he said. "I personally… I… I have caressed people, I have been gentle with people, that is the way I am. You're making a pass at someone, you don't want to be aggressive, you want to be gentle and see if they are going to respond positively so I think the word [grope] itself is not one I associate with my experience."

Morgan later asked what Spacey's message would be for "young actors who've had bad experiences with you over the years."

Spacey claimed he has spoken to a "significant" number of those people "in person" in recent years. "We have an intimate and genuine conversation," he said. "Those conversations have been incredible."

Spacey also discussed his current financial situation, revealing that his house in Baltimore is being sold because he can't afford to pay bills and is "many millions" in debt due to legal fees.

When Morgan pressed Spacey on the reasons behind his financial troubles, the actor candidly admitted that he simply couldn't pay off his debt, which amounts to millions of dollars.

Spacey's financial woes have been so severe that he has considered filing for bankruptcy multiple times, but he has narrowly avoided it each time.

He also expressed uncertainty about where he will live once his home is officially foreclosed.

Spacey then vowed he would be "getting back on the horse" and moving forward to get himself into a better situation going forward.

In October last year, following a litany of allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, actor Kevin Spacey made headlines after it was alleged that he had sexually assaulted Anthony Rapp. Rapp, who was just 14 years old at the time of the incident, said that Spacey had come on to him while intoxicated at a party.

Initially, Spacey attempted to paint the encounter as a one-off mistake, saying:

"I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago.

"But if I did behave as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years."

Since then, however, a lot more about his past has come to light - and his former co-stars are still coming to terms with it.

Robin Wright, who starred alongside the 58-year-old as his on-screen wife in Netflix's House of Cards, has recently come forward to say that she had no idea what Spacey was like off-set.

On The Today Show, Wright was asked if she ever saw any "red flags" that would have hinted at Spacey's dark personal life, but the actress - who is now due to take over as the lead character on the political drama - said that she could never have known.

"Kevin and I knew each other between action and cut. And in between setups, where we would giggle," she said. "I didn’t really... I didn’t know the man. I knew the incredible craftsman that he is."

This claim will surprise many of those who worked on House of Cards, as the show's crew have previously said that Spacey's behaviour was known about, and was even joked about on some occasions.

The showrunner, Beau Willimon, has previously made statements similar to Wright's, and last year claimed: "During the time I worked with Kevin Spacey on House of Cards, I neither witnessed nor was aware of any inappropriate behavior on set or off."

However, in a conversation with Buzzfeed, another crew member said:

"I saw that Beau said he had no idea, which I know is completely false. They had production meetings about Spacey’s flirtatious behaviour toward crew and cast, and it never made it any further than that. It was like a joke."

Of course, though, it is impossible to know what some people saw and decided to keep quiet, and what others genuinely never observed for themselves.

In the time since the allegations first emerged, Wright has been at the forefront of making sure that House of Cards still goes ahead without the disgraced actor.

Patricia Clarkson, who plays Jane Davis in the series, said that the actress is the main reason fans will get to enjoy another season:

"It was truly the great Robin Wright rallying. We have beautiful showrunners… and they killed themselves to rethink the whole show. It’s only eight episodes.

"Robin led all of this charge so that people would save their livelihoods because when the show goes away some people don’t get paid."

As of yet, no formal charges have been brought against Spacey.
