Let's be honest, doing laundry, even at the best of times, is basically a depressing chore, isn't it?
Though the weekly ritual is a necessity, there are times when I'd literally rather be doing anything else in the world other than hauling load after load of washing from basket to machine, back to basket and then onto drying rack.
It's a boring, thankless task, perhaps only marginally better than the living hell that is putting bed sheets back on. I am still yet to make my bed up without becoming entangled between duvet and sheet, unable to move and warm with the heat of unjustified fury.
What I'm trying to say, is that laundry is not much fun.
So, if there's a product out there that could ease the tedium of the whole affair, even slightly, then personally I'm all ears.
Credit: 996That's where Aldi comes in. I am now a fully converted member of the Aldi fan club. Far from merely doing my grocery shopping at the stupendously well-priced supermarket chain, I await, with baited breath, each new week's Specialbuy products. Should I get out of the house more? Maybe, but that's another question for another day.
Check out this leaked Aldi employee training video:Back to laundry, and allow me to bring you some very, very good news, because you can now buy a heated clothes airer, that could be brilliant for drying your clothes on those cold winter days.
Credit: 2029Don't just take my word for it, here's Aldi's description of the product;
"Make doing the laundry less of a chore with this heated clothes airer. Dry your clothes quickly without the need of a tumble dryer with this indoor heated clothes airer. You don't even need to worry about the British weather because we've all been there, you put the washing out on the line and then it starts to rain, and you've got that sudden rush to get it all back in, before it has to dry again. This clothes dryer can be easily folded away so you don't need to worry about it taking up extra space in your home."
Rest assured, the airer is big enough for sheets and towels, it's lightweight and foldable for ease of storage, and has 20 separate heated bars.
The best part about the heated airer could well be its price, though, as this beauty will set you back just £28.99.
Drying clothes in your house in the winter? Completed it.
