There are a lot of toys and playhouses out there for small children to enjoy, but that doesn't mean it's easy-going on parents. So many outlets can charge you extortionate rates, ones that you'll probably fork out for if you can, knowing that it's something your kids really really want.

Saying that, you spend all that dough and find that they've gotten bored of it or decided to move onto the next big thing so soon you wonder whether it was worth it. That's what makes this particular wooden lookout playhouse a great option - it provides endless entertainment and is nowhere near as expensive as other options just like it.

Aldi is selling one of these two-storey Wendy houses for just £179.99 ($233), and it comes with its own little staircase and 1.8-metre plastic slide. This price is pretty cheap, and when you compare it to Amazon's £285 ($370) version or even Argos' £899.99 ($1165) example, it looks like an even better buy.

It has a roof to make it usable in rainy weather, and a shaded space underneath which can easily be made into a sand pit. Including the slide, it measures 244 cm by 142 cm by 261 cm, and is suitable for children aged three to eight.

The wood, which is pine spruce and natural, is pre-drilled for a fairly easy assembly, with Aldi suggesting it would take two adults a couple of hours to put the entire thing together. The entire structure has a one year warranty, but the wood comes with a five-year guarantee if it begins to rot.

The playhouse is available online from Aldi from May 19, but there's a pre-order option available if you just can't wait to grab yourself one of these fun garden additions just in time for the summer!

When it comes to having fun in the summer, there are few things better for kids than a bouncy castle. In fact, plenty of adults enjoy them as well; but sadly, they're usually only available for special events, like fetes or birthday parties.

A lot of this has to do with just how expensive these things are, and how much air is needed to set them up. However, now a retailer is selling them at an affordable price, which is great news for all you parents out there.

Supermarket chain ALDI has restocked their popular giant bouncy castle in time for summer this year.  The castle has been available to buy from May 19, as part of their special buys range, and only costs £70.

Along with the castle, customers will receive an air blower, air blower stakes, bouncer stakes, a repair kit, and a handy carry bag.

The product's description states: "A quality garden bouncy castle with a price tag that won't leave you feeling deflated. This inflatable castle comes complete with [a] carry bag, repair kit and a bouncy castle blower to ensure that the fun never ends."

Well now, you can spend all day riding one. Aldi's $24.23 (£19.99) giant flamingo pool float is a thing of legends. When the product title says it's giant, it's not lying.

The pool toy is an absolute unit. This is so much bigger than your average flamingo. This thing is about seven feet wide when it's inflated. It can hold 485 pounds, which the website claims is comfortably two adults.

And that means two whole adults can ride this flamingo on the water, lounge by the pool, or play with it in the backyard. Your options are limitless. The product description on the Aldi website reads:

"Make the most of your time in the pool with the addition of this fun float. Great for splashing and playing in the pool when the sun is shining and the kids have broken up for summer. Treat them to an inflatable they can use year after year no matter where your summer plans take you."

The inflatable PVC float comes with a small repair patch, just in case you happen to have any unexpected leakage. The toy also has two air chambers and a set of handles to stabilise yourself while you have your summer fun.

A rave online review for the massive float says the investment is well worth the money. It might even be worth more than only $24.23. I used to hate sleepovers when I was a kid, but I would have jumped at the opportunity to sleep on a giant unicorn to take me to Dream Land.
