A Los Angeles artist is selling 'Karen' Halloween masks, in a nod to the viral meme that has become commonplace in 2020.

Yes, somehow, Halloween is just around the corner. With time seemingly moving at once impossibly slowly and at the same time at breakneck speed, we're now in the midst of September. A scary thought, when you stop to consider that 2020, this strangest of all years, is a mere three and a half months from completion.

While the year has been unlike any other in recent memory, we're all trying to do our best to keep ourselves entertained and safe, largely from the comfort and security of our own homes.

Holidays have been scarce in the age of social distancing, though many have turned to the staycation as a solution for some respite from work and daily stresses during the coronavirus pandemic.

So yes, Halloween really is just around the corner now. Of course, this year presents potential problems for those wishing to celebrate a normal Halloween with friends and family. With vital social distancing measures, large gatherings are prohibited in many places and certainly inadvisable.

However, all of this is not to say that we can't get dressed up, decorate the house, and celebrate Halloween in a safe and socially-distanced manner.

And if you're looking for something a little different from your Halloween costume this year, perhaps you'll consider artist Jason Adcock's 'Karen' Halloween masks.

"I was starting on this year's Halloween projects and kept seeing "Karens" pop up in my news feed and thought, 'Damn this is the real monster of 2020,'" Adcock explained to Business Insider.

A post on Instagram revealing the scary mask is captioned, "Kamorascostumes- on Etsy ! It’s never to early to shop for #Halloween #costumes . 2020 is the year of the KAREN! Scare all ur friends with ur big hair and narrow mind ."

In 2020, Dictionary.com defines the name Karen as:

"Karen is a pejorative slang term for an obnoxious, angry, entitled, and often racist middle-aged white woman who uses her privilege to get her way or police other people's behaviors.

"As featured in memes, Karen is generally stereotyped as having a blonde bob haircut, asking to speak to retail and restaurant managers to voice complaints or make demands, and being an anti-vaxx , Generation X soccer mom.

"In 2020, Karen spread as a label used to call out white women who were captured in viral videos engaging in what are widely seen as racist acts."

This Karen even went on live TV to announce that she is going to change her name:

Per Business Insider, the masks will set you back $180, and take three to four weeks to process.
