Social media users have rushed to the defense of a fast food worker who claims that she was body-shamed during her shift after a customer was "distracted" by her outfit.

Lala - a TikToker and Burger King employee who goes by the handle @rockefeller - recently took to social media to share an encounter with a customer who claimed her uniform was "too distracting" to her husband. With a growing following of 596,000 on TikTok, Lala recounted the incident and even showcased her uniform in question to her followers.

According to Lala, the customer voiced her displeasure about the uniform while Lala was serving the couple. The TikToker decided to let her TikTok community weigh in on the matter and provided a video presentation of her standard Burger King uniform.

Lala used a text-to-speech voiceover to narrate the awkward incident, presenting the "distracting" uniform piece by piece. Her outfit adhered to the fast-food chain's guidelines, consisting of a collared polo shirt, the company's branded cap, black jeans, and a face mask. Check out the video below - what do you think?

In the video, Lala expressed her exasperation, saying: "I had a lady complain today because my uniform was a 'distraction' to her husband..." She gave her viewers a 360-degree view of her uniform, emphasizing that she looked entirely appropriate for her work shift.

With frustration evident, she displayed both middle fingers to the camera and captioned the TikTok with a straightforward: "Girl, f*** you."

The viral post quickly garnered immense support from viewers, amassing a remarkable 5.7 million likes and a staggering 28.1 million views. Many commented to reassure Lala that she was not at fault, emphasizing that there was nothing wrong with her uniform and appreciating her appearance.

Critics of the customer argued that any discomfort was due to the husband's wandering eye and objectification of Lala while she was simply doing her job. One commenter pointed out the absurdity, saying, "Distract him from what?? Ordering at Burger King??" Lala clarified that the woman was trying to convey something to her husband, but he was not paying attention, leading to her frustration.

"Maybe she should just get a new husband. You can’t help what goes on in other relationships. Just be you," one commenter wrote.

In subsequent videos, Lala lightheartedly addressed the situation, reacting to one commenter's joking comment: "Don't forget to leave your a$$ at home today!" To prove her point, she wore a larger-sized uniform, emphasizing that the issue lay in how others choose to sexualize her, regardless of her attire.

Lala began another TikTok by stating: "This one is for the body shamers [clown emoji]..." She showcased her new "Dickies-style" work pants, two sizes larger than her usual, to demonstrate that her clothing choice was not the problem. She concluded the response video with a humorous touch, writing: "As y'all can see, regardless of what I wear, my thang will always be thangin' [sic]."

Sadly, it seems that some people can't even avoid unfair scrutiny and objectification when they're just trying to do their job.
