Isn't it ironic how a place where we're supposed to 'work' is the place where we want to sleep most of all? Sitting through another two-hour conference call or enduring yet another powerpoint presentation from Ted in HR can really take all the strength in the world to STAY AWAKE.

But alas, the time will eventually come for you to slam your head on the desk and take a well-deserved nap. However, your hard desk and uncomfortable desk chair are hardly the most ideal place to catch forty-winks. If only there were a piece of furniture dedicated purely to burned-out office workers?

Looking for the best place to work? Well this boss surprised his 198 employees with a near-$10 million bonus:

Well, look no further, because the Greek design company Studio NL has the answer we've all been looking for - introducing the "nap desk".

This modern piece of furniture allows employees to finally get a decent rest at work without any discomfort or shame.

The '1.6 S.M. of Life Desk' (AKA the greatest gift to the world) is the brainchild of Nancy Leivaditou of Studio NL, who came up with the idea for this while she was studying and working in a cramped New York apartment. It's made of lacquered wood, metal, and white leather, so it's the perfect product for all the chic offices out there. (There's even a TV on the other side of the headspace!)

It truly is the swivel chair for the 21st-century office worker.

That's right, if you've found yourself working around the clock to hit that tight deadline, this fully functional desk will not only provide a sturdy structure where all the busywork can get done, but also a bed where hard workers can get their heads down.

One member of the team can even continue working up above while the other catches up on some well-deserved sleep below.

The product is currently in its prototype stages, but I reckon there's enough of us exhausted office workers out there that the demand for this should be high enough to bring to market.

So the next time there's a bit of extra cash in the quarterly budget, send this to your manager and make sure you get the working environment you deserve. You've worked hard enough, it's time for a decent rest. Falling asleep at work has never looked so good.
