Have you ever been eating a curry, or burrito, or sandwich, or pasta dish, or bagel, or seemingly every food ever created and suddenly found the taste of dish soap rushing over your tastebuds? Yep, you've just eaten cilantro.

It doesn't matter if you're eating Italian, Mexican, Indian, Chinese - whatever - this leafy herb will inevitably make an unexpected appearance to absolutely ruin your meal. I honestly don't know why so many chefs still insist on cooking with this herb, as its only purpose is to temporarily paralyzed your face as you wonder why somebody has attempted to poison your food with bleach.

As you can tell, I HATE cilantro. (And just to be clear, we're talking about the leaves and stalks of the plant, known as coriander in the UK, cilantro in the US, and dhania in India, before you all @ me in the comments section.)

And considering just how many chefs and restaurants use the herb in their dishes, I was under the impression that I was the only one. But now, I have found my true calling. I have discovered a Facebook group of 220,000 peers who also despise cilantro to the point where they are willing to band together and talk about it.

I Hate Coriander (AKA, my new safe place) is a group where over 260,000 people literally get together to badmouth, trash talk, blaspheme the globally despised herb.

From tattoos that say "F**k Coriander", to scathing memes, to people literally just posting pictures of themselves giving cilantro the middle finger, this group is perfect for any person who has ever stood their ground against a server and asked, "Is there cilantro in that?"

Oh, and if you're a true American patriot, there are plenty of 'I Hate Cilantro' groups out there if you want to stay true to the US reference.
