A female personal trainer has been slammed for the way she treated another gym goer who happened to walk in front of her camera while she was working out, leaving viewers stunned.

Going to the gym isn't for everyone, and sometimes it can take a lot of courage for someone to pull themselves out of their house to go and work out.

So making sure that the gym is a welcoming environment is really important because we're all there to better ourselves, aren't we?

Sadly, some people get pretty entitled when they're working out, and that can create a pretty toxic environment, just like in this case.

In the midst of a routine workout session, a personal trainer found herself at the center of controversy after a video capturing her reaction to an interruption at the gym went viral, drawing widespread criticism.

The trainer, known as @shapedbyshiana on social media, gained attention from fitness enthusiasts after sharing a video of herself performing deadlifts. However, the attention turned negative when viewers noticed her reaction to a fellow gym-goer who inadvertently stepped into her recording.

"I'm in the middle of a set," she states in the video, causing the man to visibly retreat.

The incident caught the attention of Joey Swoll, an advocate for proper gym etiquette, who shared the video with his 7.5 million followers, criticizing the trainer's behavior.

"As a personal trainer and coach, you need to set a better example for the gym community," Swoll captioned his repost of the video.

In a public condemnation, Swoll addressed the camera, stating: "Just because you're filming at the gym does not mean that everybody else has to stop their workout just for you."

The video, along with Swoll's commentary, quickly gained attention, racking up over 20 million views and nearly 20,000 comments within 24 hours.

Viewers largely sided with Swoll, expressing sympathy for the man who was scolded by the trainer.

"It’s sad that you gotta keep saying this over and over again to a bunch of adults," one person said, while a second added: "So she put her cam in front of the dumbbell rack and made him the bad guy?? These people amaze me."

Shiana has since deleted the video, but people noticed that she had Kings Gym tagged in her bio, and the gym group has clarified that she does not work for them.

"She is NOT part of Kings Gym staff, and this was NOT recorded at any of our spaces! Not acceptable at any Kings Gym space," they commented under Swoll's video.

Recording yourself in the gym is fine, but remember, you need to share the space!
