This summer, forget traditional ice cream eating; this means no eating straight from the pint and no sundaes. We're going blended. Subway has teamed up with Halo Top to offer the perfect sweet summer treat. The first brand to sell Halo Top hand-spun milkshakes, Subway is in the process of testing out Vanilla Bean, Strawberry and Chocolate shakes.

It's the holy trinity of shake flavours. While they might sound standard at first glance, don't let your face fall just yet. Think of the possibilities of deliciously famous Subway cookies dipped into Halo Top shakes. We're talking peanut butter cookies dipped in a chocolate milkshake or raspberry cheesecake cookies dipped in vanilla milkshakes. Dare we say oatmeal raisin cookies in strawberry? A bit of a stretch, perhaps.

The shakes will release from July 22 to September 4 across 1,000 testing locations in the following cities: Colorado Springs, Colorado; Hartford, Connecticut; Longview and Tyler, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; Toledo, Ohio; and West Palm Beach, Florida. You have a few months to plan a road trip and get your butt to one of these Subways. Do it for those who can't.

While a more extensive release after September will likely depend on how the test markets perform, I can't wait to see where this refreshing dessert option travels next. Especially because each shake comes with such little guilt. No matter what flavour you chose, you'll consume 350 calories or less, 30% of your recommended calcium daily value and at least 20 grams of protein.
