Hasbro is bringing back the simple handheld games that those of us who grew up in the 1990s might remember from our childhoods.

For instance, the gaming company has recently revealed that it is bringing back its retro 90s handheld Tiger LCD games, according to Cnet.

The classic monochrome Tiger Electronics LCD handheld will be available in four brand new versions when it launches this fall for $14.99 each.

Hasbro announced the move on Wednesday ahead of this year's Toy Fair in New York, which begins later this week.

The four versions are Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Transformers Generation 2 and Marvel's X-Men Project X. And they are all powered by two AA batteries, which are not included.

The games are not updates on the original Tiger Electronics handheld. Instead, the original games are being reissued as they were in the 90s.

The idea is that customers will want to purchase the games for reasons of nostalgia.

"The design and technology were created with the original handheld game unit in mind," Hasbro said, per Cnet.

In the Sonic version, the aim of the game is to defeat Dr. Eggman in six stages. In The Little Mermaid, you will play the role of Ariel, collecting objects from the human world while avoiding Ursula. In Transformers, you would be playing as Optimus Prime while fighting against the Decepticons and then Starscream. And last but not least, in the X-Men, you assume the role of Cyclops, who, joined by Wolverine, battles against Juggernaut and Apocalypse across five different levels.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Transformers Generation 2 and Marvel's X-Men Project X are all available to preorder at Gamestop now.
