This week the rapper, producer, and performer Cardi B has appealed to her own fanbase for help, after suffering from an outbreak of acne.

In a post made to her 16.6 million followers on Twitter, the 28-year-old Grammy-award-winner wrote:

"I been breaking out lately and my face is extremely dry. I don’t think these products are working. I think it’s the water out here.

"What are some good products for little black heads breakouts and dry skin on your face? [sic]"

Suffice to say, Cardi's Twitter followers were only too happy to help, and they promptly recommended a barrage of treatments as well as some home remedies too.

For instance, one fan wrote: "Have you checked out & shopped the Brooklyn Shea Collection? This is results from using the turmeric bar. Body Oil, Body Butter, Beard Oil and Soap. [sic]"

Another person shared an image of their own personal favorite dermatological product, and wrote: "Here’s an AMAZING moisturizer [sic]."

One dermatologist even provided Cardi with some free advice, tweeting to her:

"It sounds like your skin’s moisture barrier is damaged. Pretty much that means the previous products you used disrupted your skin’s equilibrium.

"I’d recommend going back to basics with a high quality hydrating products & maybe one active ingredient to target the mild acne."

Cardi seemed to concur with this opinion and promptly wrote back: "I want to go to a good dermatologist that do blood testing and everything. Get to the root of the problem but I don’t know any."

She then shared a close-up picture of a cluster of red spots on her cheek and captioned the snap: "This is my cheek...It’s been happening for like 3 months now ...S*** really is uncomfortable."

When someone else suggested that she consult a dermatologist herself, Cardi replied: "I did I said it in previous post. That gave me some s*** that dried my face more and make me get more pours.

"[They] said it will take 3 months but I don’t got time for that and didn’t give me a reason on why I’m breaking out . I never broke out on my cheeks and chin. [sic]"

Per People, the issue appeared to finally be resolved when fellow singer Khelani recommended Cardi consult with New York-based esthetician Sean Garrette when she returns from her temporary stint in Los Angeles. Cardi then wrote:

"Ok @Kehlani recommended me somebody for my face ...Imma give ya a update in 2 weeks .....I’m off this for a while ...LOVE YA [sic]"

However, Cardi's skincare issues clearly haven't dampened her ability to go out and strut herself, and this week she stunned her followers on Instagram with a bizarre optical illusion see-through dress.
