Kellogg's to release white chocolate Coco Pops
When it comes to favourite breakfast cereals, everyone agrees that Coco-Pops are one of the best choices. Okay, so maybe it's not as healthy as a bowl of porridge or fruit, but you can't deny that they're totally delicious. Indeed, they were certainly a staple of my childhood.
However, if there's one problem with them, it's that they only represent one type of chocolate - namely milk chocolate. And there are plenty of people out there who have more of a hankering for different varieties.
Luckily, the Kellogg's cereal company has come up with an answer that's sure to make breakfasts in the near future more interesting: white chocolate Coco-Pops.
The cereal company just posted an image of the new cereal to their official Instagram account, and it's safe to say that the sugary breakfast treat looks pretty dang appetising.
Kellogg's captioned the post: "Just landed…WHITE CHOC COCO POPS! 😍 That’s right, you heard it here first. Get your hands on a pack now! [sic]"
Coco-Pops, (also known as Coco-Krispies) were first created in the US way back in 1958, as a chocolate-flavoured derivative of Rice Krispies. Since 1963, the brand has been represented by the colourful mascot, Coco the Monkey.
And since the 1990s, Kellogg's has released several spin-off confectionaries based on the cereal, including caramel-flavoured Coco Pops, Coco Pops Crunchers, Coco Chex, Coco Rocks, Coco Pops Straws, Coco Pops Moon & Stars, Coco Pops Choc-N-Roll and Coco Pops Croc Prints. However, white chocolate is a pretty new and innovative idea, and personally, I think it's going to be a major winner with the public.
