A hospice nurse has shared some of the major regrets that her patients have shared before their deaths.

Julie, who became a hospice nurse after working in Intensive Care for nine years, dedicates her TikTok account to educating people on one of life's harshest realities: Death.

Earlier this month, the content creator posted a video in which she revealed some of the most common regrets her patients have had.

In the clip, which has been viewed nearly 60,000 times at the time of writing, the nurse responded to a question from a follower who asked: "What kind of regrets do you hear? I feel like in the end, everyone's going to have regrets of some sort."

Check out her video below:

Julie shared that there were four main regrets that her dying patients would share with her.

She said: “Most people at the end of their lives have regrets about not appreciating their health. Not appreciating being alive, the little things. Working their life away. And not spending more time with family.”

The healthcare worker went on to say that her experience as a hospice nurse has taught her to "be in the moment, live presently, be grateful, don’t take for granted your health, and little things about living life. Don’t work your life away if you don’t have to, or make it so you don’t have to.

"Spend time with those you love, not necessarily family, but those you love and make you feel loved."

The post was flooded with comments, with many sharing their own experiences in response to the poignant video.

One commenter shared: "I spent 5 years in a fed prison and at the end of my time all I craved and missed were the people who loved me unconditionally - that’s ALL that matter[ed]."
