Kellogg's has launched a Pride-themed breakfast cereal in partnership with GLAAD.
Hitting shelves just in time for June's Pride Month, the gorgeous cereal features rainbow heart-shaped pieces and even edible glitter. There has never been a more fabulous way to start your day.
The cereal is named Together With Pride, and features iconic Kellogg's characters Toucan Sam, Tony the Tiger, the frosted Mini Wheat, Snap, Crackle, and Pop on the front of the box. On the side, there is a section where people can fill in their preferred pronouns.
Kellogg's has launched the cereal with the accompanying slogan: "Boxes are for cereal, not people."
The promotional material adds: "No matter who you are, who you love, or what pronouns you use, you're too awesome to fit into a box."
Celebrating the launch, the cereal giants wrote on their official Instagram account: "All are welcome at the breakfast table with our NEW Together with Pride cereal." They also revealed that for every box sold, Kellogg's will be donating $3 to GLAAD to help support the LGBTQ+ community.
Responding to cereal, GLAAD also wrote on their official Instagram page: "Our friends at @kelloggsus have supported GLAAD’s work to accelerate acceptance for several years now. This year, they have come back bigger than ever for LGBTQ Pride Month with a new limited edition #TogetherWithPride cereal that’s already hit shelves.
"The new cereal features berry-flavored rainbow hearts dusted with edible glitter. On each box, supporters can learn about Kellogg’s long standing partnership with GLAAD."
Per PinkNews, the cereal carries an RRP of four dollars, and customers must upload a copy of their receipt to Kellogg’s Family Rewards in order to support the donation.
This is not the first time Kellogg's has teamed up with GLAAD - most recently launching the 'All Together Cereal' back in 2019.
At the time, Kellogg's Chief diversity officer Priscilla Koranteng said in a statement: "At Kellogg, we are firmly committed to equality and inclusion in the workplace, marketplace and in the communities where we work and live.
"We have long been allies and supporters of LGBTQ employees, their families and the community. For more than 100 years, Kellogg has nourished families so they can flourish and thrive, and the company continues to welcome everyone to the table."
