A British company has invented a banana-shaped gadget that it claims allows the wearer to pass wind without leaving behind a bad smell.
This brainchild of Paul O’Leary, owner of Shreddies Ltd, the Carbonana is made up of a carbon lining that catches odors and thus allows wearers to feel as free as possible particularly if they happen to experience flatulence problems.
Users place the Carbonana between their buttocks in order to filter out odors from flatulence.
This is the moment Wendy Williams seemingly farted live on her show:This is the same company that brought us the fart-filtering underpants in a bid to help people attempting to treat "excessive flatulence issues caused by IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), Gastritis, Crohn’s disease, Dyspepsia and Colitis, as well as food intolerance's and many other bowel and digestive disorders."
Per Business Live, hundreds of thousands of the undergarments have been sold.
The idea behind this new product, the Carbonana, was sparked by O'Leary's rather uncomfortable experience on a flight to New York.
It was then that he discovered that the carbon in the original fart underwear and fart-filtering jeans confused the airport scanners, leading to unnecessarily uncomfortable frisks.

He decided that aside from simply changing into and out of his fart pants on either side of security - which would be very inconvenient - the only solution was to come up with a new product. And thus the Carbonana was born.
Take a read of the product's official description:
"New for 2020 the Carbonana is an innovative product. Designed with air travel in mind it offers you discreet protection when you need it most. The Carbonana can also be worn anywhere like the car, the office or public transport. Helping our customers avoid potential embarrassment clearing security scanners, the Carbonana can be placed in the hand luggage trays and worn once you’ve cleared security. The banana shape of the product is designed to sit between the buttocks and absorb gasses before they escape your underwear."
Over the last few years, the Shreddies has helped countless people deal with their tummy-related conditions, and they say that "simply not having to worry about flatulence can help improve a person's condition", as "anxiety can create chemical changes in your body which can affect your digestive system, exacerbating a person’s condition [sic]".

But whether you're buying the Carbonana to mitigate the symptoms of a gas-related illness or simply buying it as a lighthearted gift for a loved one who just won't stop passing wind - it could just be the most vital product you purchase this year.
The Carbonana, which retails at £19 ($24), is covered in a jersey fabric, is able to be washed and re-used and comes in black and nude colors.
