When it comes to delicious poultry, there are generally two ways to go about your chicken binge. If you're feeling speed and batter and grease, then you're better off heading to Chick-fil-A, KFC or McDonald's, where a variety bucket or chicken nuggets will be enough to leave you with a grin as wide as your expanding waistline.
But if you're looking for grilled chicken, a degree of spice and an altogether more refined, European experience, then Nando's might be the chicken joint for you. Born in Portugal but quickly making its way to British shores and beyond, Nando's is the kind of place that you can take a date, but it's also the place where you can eat an entire marinated chicken in one sitting for relative peanuts.
The biggest selling point of Nando's is its versatility. While KFC and other fast food joints only offer pieces of chicken and occasionally burgers, Nando's can do all of that in a slightly healthier manner, with a wider range of healthier sides, plus chunky french fries to die for.
But for you food lovers out there who love a "cheeky Nando's" (a phrase which I still don't fully understand), I've got some pretty good news. The potato offerings at Nando's aren't exactly scarce, with peri-salted fries an interesting and delicious alternative to your usual standard fare, but if that wasn't enough for you, you can now get them drizzled in gravy.
Yep. You heard me. Gravy. Just in time for the holidays, Nando's have revealed that their chips are getting yet another upgrade, with PERi-PERi-flavoured gravy now available in addition to the salted stuff, in case you need a little more moisture with your chips. I know I need that from time to time.
This was all confirmed by Nando's themselves, who, in a press release, patted themselves on the back for answering our prayers. And why shouldn't they?

Awesome. If you'd like to get your hands (and mouth) on the new Nando's PERi-PERi gravy, then it'll set you back about £1.25 for a jug of the stuff, which is about the same price you'd pay for a milkshake from McDonald's, and just about as delicious. With PERi-PERi gravy, 2018 isn't turning out to be so bad after all, is it?
