A new dating app catering exclusively to American conservatives has been announced and will be launched in the US this month.

The launch of The Right Stuff was announced by Ryann McEnany - the sister of Kayleigh McEnany, a former White House press secretary under the Donald Trump administration.

The new dating app is marketed toward conservatives and is partly funded by billionaire tech investor Peter Thiel. According to a description on its website, the app "was created for conservatives to connect in authentic and meaningful ways".

"Other dating apps have gone woke," the site states. "We bring people together with shared values and similar passions."

McEnany - who is the digital marketing and brand communications strategist and engagement officer at America First Policy Institute - is featured in an introductory promo video for the app.

"Hey guys, I’m Ryann. I’ve got to tell you about something I am so excited to announce - a dating app for all of us conservatives," McEnany said.  "What I love most about it is that it’s invite-only, so not just anyone can join."

McEnany then explained that the app will be free to use for women if they invite friends, while men must pay for a premium subscription.

The app will also offer just two gender options with McEnany specifying "no pronouns necessary" and that it is all about "getting into the right dating pool, for people who share the same values and beliefs as you".

"We want you to put your best foot forward which includes your favorite photos of yourself doing what you love or being with the people you love," she continued. "We’re sorry that you’ve had to endure years of bad dates and wasted time with people that don’t see the world our way - the right way."

CBS News noted that the dating app was co-founded by John McEntee, a political aide to the former president, and Daniel Huff, a Trump appointee in the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The app is also supported by conservative PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel, who has reportedly poured $1.5 million, according to The Hill.

"What we’re doing has really not been done before. No one has built a high quality, properly funded app with a dedicated team," Huff told the outlet.

As for the market for a conservatives-only app, Huff said: "It's an important, underserved market," adding, "Liberals own the education, media corporations, and we can’t let them control our personal relationships."

He told the publication that the app will first cater strictly to heterosexual relationships, but "down the road" it could extend to same-sex relationships.
