An image of a tattoo depicting Wednesday Addams has gone viral for all the wrong reasons - with people hilariously declaring that it resembles Samuel L. Jackson more than Jenna Ortega.

Getting a tattoo requires tons of commitment and a lot of faith in the artist performing the inking. After all, this is something you could have until the day you die.

There is always the option to get it removed, but this can often be a costly and painful endeavor depending on the size of the design.

We're five days into 2023 and following the popularity of the Wednesday Netflix series, there's already a front-runner for the 'biggest regret of the year'.

The popular show features Jenna Ortega playing the Addams family's Goth Princess, as she tackles a new school and monsters causing havoc in the neighborhood.

However, the tattoo that this individual has received is being ridiculed online for having very little resemblance to the actress, but looking like Samuel L. Jackson instead.

The caption of the post reads: "Not Wednesday L. Jackson," with a facepalm emoji... and the comments that followed aren't exactly favorable either.

One person said: "That's "Monday morning" Adams after a long weekend out," with a second adding: "When you get a pre-production tattoo of Wednesday Addams, after hearing Samuel L. Jackson is being considered for the lead."

A third person said: "The client asked for Wednesday but instead got Saturday night at the after hours," with others also commenting and agreeing that the tattoo resembles the Pulp Fiction actor.

It's currently unknown where the original image spawned from, or who the tattoo belongs to - perhaps they've gone into hiding.

Hopefully, the ink was intended to be a mixture of Jenna Ortega and Samuel L. Jackson, and the person who received it can laugh all of the attention off. (Although, we highly doubt that.)

Wednesday is currently available to view on Netflix, but it has been rumored that the second series may be leaving the site for a different platform.

This isn't the first time that the internet has been left stunned at a tattoo - In early December a man left people stunned after getting the words "hot dogs" tattooed across his forehead in the outline of a cross.

Uploading a video of the process, the man captioned the video: "Finally excited to have a face tat. It’s gonna be sick."

Viewers took to the comments to express their opinion on the bizarre choice of design and the placement of it, with tattoo artists stating they would have refused to do the design.

The moral of these stories? Make sure you do your research when it comes to tattoo artists! Because the internet won't hold back on what it thinks.
