It’s easy for a new crisp flavour to get lost in the noisy world of snack news, but when Pringles are involved, it always seems to make a splash. This is with good reason. Not for nothing do people regularly compare the legendary curved potato chip to crack cocaine - in the best way possible. And now, fans have not one, but two new flavours to get excited about. Crispmas has come early.

As part of an extensive new snack release, Pringles’ parent company Kellogs revealed that both “Parmesan & Roasted Garlic” and “Rotisserie Chicken” flavours are about to be added to the brands roster. According to Baking Business, the two new creations are designed to “build on the brand’s ‘flavor stacking’ marketing campaign that encourages consumers to mix and match Pringles crisps to create new flavor combinations.” Sounds like all the excuse we need to stock up on snacks.

According to Ami O’Keefe, senior commercial strategy manager for convenience at Kellogg Co, the new combinations are crucial to enjoying the crisps to the max. As she put it, “We’re calling them our new ‘stackworthy’ flavors — it’s chicken parm. For Pringles, it’s a brand that’s known for having a lot of flavor variety. We always want to keep bringing new news there and keeping consumers engaged.”

While there’s no word yet on precisely when the new Pringles will hit shelves, some have been lucky enough to get an early taste. Popular Instagram account @candyhunting wrote that:
“New Rotisserie Chicken and Parmesan & Roasted Garlic Pringles will be out soon! Kellogg's suggests stacking the two flavors to create chicken parmesan. The Rotisserie Chicken flavor is ok, but that Parmesan flavor is killer. It's easily in my top five favorite Pringles flavors.”
Here’s hoping that the snacks arrive sooner rather than later.

Of all the slightly unusual sweet and savory combinations that have conquered fast food menus, chicken and waffles is probably the one that makes the most sense. Even if you’re the sort of cooking purist that believes dessert and poultry should never cross paths, it’s hard to argue with the lip-smacking sugary crunch of a perfectly seasoned fried chicken breast and fluffy waffle. It’s the sort of food that makes you wonder why we bother with courses at all.
Reinventing something that’s already pretty outlandish is tough for any food producer. That, however, hasn’t stopped Pringles from taking the chicken and waffle blueprint and trying to turn it into a potato chip. The result is sure to divide opinion.

Spotted by several Instagram-users, the new limited-edition flavor is currently available exclusively at Dollar General. Though there is little information available on exactly how long the new tubes will be around, every package comes with the warning that they are here for a “Limited Time Only”, suggesting that fans will have to be speedy if they want to get a taste.

Given the restricted availability and limitations on the public’s ability to shop, reviews of the new flavor are few and far between. However, Instagrammer @carbconnoissuer reported:
“The one chip company, that doesn’t sell air is selling a new limited time only flavor! Chicken and waffles @pringlesus are out @dollargeneral they are pretty good. There is a very faint smell of maple syrup, and they have a very dull chicken flavor to them. I give them a 7/10”

Fans of chicken and waffle-flavored snacks will be aware that this isn’t the first time a crisp producer has tried to recreate the iconic dish. Earlier this month, Lay’s brought back their own take on the flavor, which has been an on and off feature of their line-up since 2013. Even if you don’t have ready access to a Dollar General, it seems unlikely that you’ll have to wait long to enjoy something similar.

For a company whose most famous slogan sounds more like a mantra for a narcotic than a snack, Pringles clearly have remarkable staying power. This is made all the more impressive by the fact that, no matter what mad flavour combination gets thrown at you, once you pop, it really is impossible to stop. Maybe this is why they have been able to get away with increasingly weird new varieties like “pizza” and “philly cheesesteak”. But, despite the oddness, a new addition to the lineup has proven that Pringles still have what it takes to make something yummy.

Not content with just perplexing palates, the iconic potato snack brand have surprised everybody with the release of their intoxicating new “Fried Onion Ring” flavour. Having hit supermarket shelves on September 18th, the bright purple cans have made an impression across social media, prompting a near universally positive response.
The new cans were first brought to the public’s attention by clued-up Instagrammer @candyhunting. Posting a picture of the product as early as September 15th, the snack specialist was effusive in their praise, writing:
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B2aTPJMBdTc/]]
“7-Eleven has a new exclusive Pringles flavor: Fried Onion Ring! Well, the flavor isn't new to Pringles or the chip world, but it's new to being only at 7-Eleven. Crispy Onion Ring Pringles launched in Canada earlier this year, and many other countries have seen Onion Rings Pringles on shelves. Ruffles also has an onion ring flavor, and there's obviously Funyuns, which have been around for 50 years.”
“Anyway, so the flavor certainly isn't new to the market, but how does it taste? While not being incredibly innovative, these are one of my favorite Pringles in a while. The flavor is simple; it's pretty much onion powder. But I can't stop eating them. 7.75/10. Huge thanks to Kellogg's PR partners for sending these!”

Other early reviewers have also been equally positive. One Twitterer wrote, “Fried Onion Ring @PringlesUS are exclusive to @7eleven and the flavor is SO on point. You done good, #Pringles - available at 7-11 mid September,” while another added, “Found these new Crispy Onion Ring Pringles at @WalmartCanada So delicious and taste like onion rings!?” Even if you aren’t ordinarily a fan of novelty snacks, “Fried Onion Ring Pringles” seem like a surefire winner.

News of a new Pringle is always worth celebrating, but when it combines both snacking and Thanksgiving, it really is time to crack open the champagne. According to a popular snack-based social media channel, the legendary potato chip-makers are planning to celebrate this year’s festivities by rereleasing a very special roast turkey-flavoured crisp. Christmas has literally come early.
The flavour itself was actually first introduced back in 2017, but has remained elusive ever since. However, online reports suggest that the chips are slated to make a return to US supermarket shelves by the end of this month, much to the relief of erstwhile fans.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B347mqiBS3I/]]
According to popular snack-focused Instagram account Candyhunting:
“Roasted Turkey Pringles are starting to hit shelves in the US, just in time for Thanksgiving! This flavor isn't entirely new to the market. It was first introduced to the US as part of the ultra-limited edition Thanksgiving Dinner Pringles in 2017. They came back as an online exclusive the following Thanksgiving.”
“The flavor has also been out in Europe. Anyway, since the flavor is just starting to roll out, only a few chains (like Giant Eagle and Jewel) have them out so far. They'll be out at other stores very soon!”
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/BongioviBrand/status/1060278238193352711]]
News of the Roast Turkey crisp’s return comes after the company found a winning formula last year, with the release of a full range of Thanksgiving flavoured snacks. The full three-course pack of “Turkey In A Can”, “Stuffing In A Can” and “Pumpkin Pie In A Can” sold out in less than an hour in 2018, proving that a festive feast is popular, even in crisp form. It remains to be seen whether turkey by itself can prove as successful.
In the crowded world of confectionary, it's tough to stand out.
That goes doubly true for the festive period, when brands battle it out for weeks on end to get the attention of us bewildered customers. This year, ahead of Christmas, we had a huge plethora of festive offerings from Aldi (including a wine advent calendar), Grinch-themed holiday cookies from Nestlé Toll House and even some special new flavours from the Coca Cola company.

Now, though, Christmas is already disappearing into the rear view mirror, and that means it's time for brands to get creative all over again to win our custom in the frugal, frosty months of January and February.
February, of course, has something of a natural advantage there, as it heralds in the imminent arrival of Valentine's Day.
Yes, before you know it, it will be time to spend an improbable amount of money on a card, flowers and sentimental piece of jewellery for your significant other.
So why not get ahead of the game by getting your hands on a delicious-sounding new Kit Kat flavour: raspberry and creme.
Spotted by the eagle-eyed folk over at Candy Hunting, the flavour has received a generally positive reception so far. Candy Hunting wrote;
"Here are the new Raspberry + Crème Kit Kats for Valentine's! I found these at Walmart, but they are not a store exclusive. They taste very sweet and have an artificial red berry flavor, but I still really enjoy them. The filling between the wafers is not raspberry flavored, though. Here's a fun fact: The layer between the wafers is ground up defect Kit Kats. It's called "rework" and happens quite frequently in the food industry. Anyway, these Kit Kats are quite good despite not tasting like actual raspberries. 8/10."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B6rZlcJBc-O/]]
Junk Banter also picked up the new flavour, writing;
"Did you have a great Christmas yesterday? Great! Welp, it’s Valentine’s Day now. And fellas, that means it’s time to buy her MORE GIFTS so start stocking up on the candy today. New this year are Raspberry + Creme Kit Kats which will see a wide release across stores like Walmart, pharmacies, and local groceries (I got mine at Stop & Shop.) Hopefully she likes them and she doesn’t break up with you before Easter (next week.)"
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B6jNf7lh3dU/?utm_source=ig_embed]]
If you can't wait until Valentine's Day to try the new flavour then fear not, because it appears as though the flavour is already appearing in stores including Walmart.
It's a fact that sometimes all you need to do to make something amazing is to combine two things that are already awesome. Like Godzilla vs King Kong: put two badass movie monsters together and what do you have? An even better monster movie, that's what.
If you want an example of this when it comes to food, then look no further than the menus of KFC. KFC has decided to launch a new sandwich in certain states in the US that combines one of their signature chicken patties with one of America's favorite snack foods.
[[youtubewidget||https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcRdN2gD-To]]
That's right, KFC is rolling out a new burger with Cheetos in it, which was previously trialed in a few states at the start of the year. After the test run proved to be "overwhelmingly successful" however, they're going to offer it to the rest of the USA to enjoy.
The sandwich consists of one of KFC's trademark fried chicken patties, a dash of mayo, a 'special Cheetos sauce' and a scattering of Cheetos - all sandwiched between a toasted bun.
A press release stated: "For years, people have been creating their own versions of a Cheetos-fied sandwich at home, and now the fried chicken experts at KFC are launching the Cheetos Sandwich across the U.S. and giving fans the cheesy, crispy crunch that they’ll love.
"After an overwhelmingly successful test earlier this year, Kentucky Fried Chicken and fan-favorite Cheetos are giving fans nationwide access to the sought-after Cheetos Sandwich."
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/DerangedRadio/status/1141785066340622336]]
The press release continued: "Both KFC and Cheetos have dedicated fan bases loyal to each new creation, so it only made sense to merge these two iconic brands together to provide an irresistible and flavorful sandwich that gives the best of both worlds."
As if that wasn't exciting enough, KFC is going to release a brand new vegan chicken burger.
