The controversial adult performer Bonnie Blue is expecting her first child and has said she plans to involve her fanbase throughout the pregnancy.
Auction houses are well accustomed to antiquated vases, derelict properties, and old memorabilia being sold to the highest bidder on their premises.
But, how about a baby name? Bonnie, who famously had sex with 1057 men in one day in an attempt to break an unofficial world record, is looking to do just that.
The pornstar, who previously slept with 400 men in an attempt to conceive, shared that she’s considering letting her followers play a role in key decisions.
Speaking to US Weekly, she said: “I would like to auction off the baby’s name, I think that would be quite fun.”
She also revealed plans to include fans in other milestones, adding: “I think I want to get my fans involved in a gender reveal. They’re going to be involved along the way.”
She first suspected she was pregnant while on a trip to Tenerife, after experiencing symptoms like nausea and severe headaches.
In a video diary, she said: “I’ve been being sick, a headache, and when I say headache I mean like mega migraine.”
She added: “Foods have been making me feel sick, but then also some foods I’m wanting to eat instantly else I will be sick.”
After trying to manage the symptoms with rest and small comforts, she decided to take a pregnancy test.
Before checking the result, she admitted: “I’m a little bit nervous. One line pregnant, no line if I’m not pregnant. I’ll be back in two minutes.”
When she returned, she confirmed the news, saying: “That is a pretty … it’s like half pink, half white. Kind of looks like a drumstick actually. Yeah, definitely pregnant. Like fully pregnant.”
While there have been doubts raised over the legitimacy of the pregnancy, with Bonnie frequently embarking on new and inventive ways to self-promote, including pulling a similar publicity stunt last year, the sex performer has even shown behind-the-scenes footage of her getting a pregnancy scan.
However, she stressed that there will be clear boundaries.
She explained: “But I want to be very careful [about] not sexualising the child.
"So it’s trying to get the right balance of getting people involved, but not having the baby sexualised.”
She continued: “Pregnancy can be sexualised.
"That’s fine, because that’s referring to me, but there’ll be a very strict line, especially once the baby’s here, of what’s shown and how much is shown.”
Bonnie — whose real name is Tia Billinger — said her main focus right now is her baby’s wellbeing.
She explained: “As any pregnant woman would agree, it’s the main priority during a pregnancy.
"In terms of finding out the dad, that’s another day’s problem.”
