Couple who got engaged in KFC receive countless free gifts and a honeymoon
As a man who has proposed, I feel like I can understand the pressure of trying to choose the most memorable location to pop the question. However, one couple in South Africa blew everybody's "fairy tale endings" out of the water when they got engaged in a KFC branch.
And although the may be quick to judge the chicken-loving lovers, can you really think of a better way to celebrate getting engaged than a 12-piece bucket? Thought not.
Check out the heartwarming footage below:
In an act of romance that the Colonel would be proud of, the viral footage shows a man bending the knee and proposing to his then-girlfriend, as the punters in the restaurant applaud the happy couple.
However, not wanting to miss the opportunity to thank the couple for choosing one of their restaurants as their romantic setting, KFC South Africa reached on Twitter to anyone who could help put them in contact with the KFC cuties.
And... THEY DID IT!
Taking to Twitter to announce the achievement, KFC South Africa confirmed that they have been in conversations with Bhut’ Hector and bride-to-be Nonhlanhla.
But after a tweet (below) revealed that money was tight between the couple, it wasn't long before their luck started to change.
KFC's official South African account tweeted: "South Africa, you guys are amazing! We’ve found the beautiful couple, and looks like we’re having a #StreetwiseWedding y’all. We’re meeting Bhut’ Hector and his lovely bride Nonhlanhla we’ll keep you posted. #KFCProposal"
But the celebrations didn't end there, as so many South African companies were so overjoyed for Bhut’ Hector and Nonhlanhla, that they offered whatever services they could for their wedding for FREE!
From a honeymoon to a cake to a dress to portraits to a magazine spread - it looks like this husband and wife are going to have a day they'll never forget, with everything they need and more:
Check out the incredible moment the happy couple returned to the KFC restaurant to a huge ovation:
Hector and Nonhlanhla are proof that true love and kind spirits will always be rewarded! Well done South Africa! You truly are an amazing country.
