A man who agreed to watch his wife have sex with another woman has revealed the serious regret that he had afterwards.
It turns out that sometimes these things can have a serious and detrimental effect on your marriage.
Of course, when it comes to sex, it really is a case of different strokes for different folks, and everyone has their own turn-ons, turn-offs, red flags, and indicators when it comes to getting down.
In this case, it seems as if the two halves of this marriage had differing ideas about what they’d like to get up to in the bedroom, but not until after the fact.
Writing into an agony aunt column, the 38-year-old dad of one wrote about how he and his wife had enjoyed a healthy and happy sex life to that point, but ended up getting in over their heads.
After a compliment at a birthday party, at which someone commented on his ‘gorgeous wife’, she started to get the idea that she’d like to try something a bit new.
Then, two days later a text arrived, asking her if she’d be interested to ‘have a cuckold arrangement’ where the other man had sex with her and the husband watched.
He takes up the story: “I was furious at first and wanted to punch the guy’s lights out, but my wife persuaded me that it ‘could be fun’.
“My mate had a similar experience with his girlfriend and told me he’d enjoyed it, so I nervously agreed.”
After a few drinks at the pub, they returned back to the house and things got uncomfortable straight away.
“Watching my wife with him was something else,” he continued.
“She looked so turned on but the difference was, he was bigger than me in every way.
“I felt so humiliated.”
Since the incident, he said that he hasn’t been able to have sex, and that his wife - while maintaining that she loves him - hasn’t stopped hinting at another round with the other guy.
“I feel so inadequate,” he complained.
In response, the agony aunt - The Sun’s ‘Dear Deirdre’ - said: “Cuckold situations can be a bad idea. They provoke emotions you wouldn’t ever imagine would surface.
“You’ve demonstrated perfectly that living out a fantasy can sometimes be disastrous.
“Tell your wife that this was a one-off.
“Suggest that you change your techniques for new thrills without involving a third party.
“My guess is that you worry you are below average size, probably because you look down on your penis which gives it a foreshortening effect.
“A larger penis can be arousing for a woman visually but intercourse can be painful.”
There’s a cautionary tale in this for everyone, however.
It’s important to make it clear what you are and aren’t into in the bedroom, because otherwise you could sleepwalk into something you later regret.
