Fans are going wild after Liam Hemsworth left the thirstiest comment on Miley Cyrus' Instagram

They say the romantic spark often fades after a couple gets married - but for Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus, it's clear that it's only just beginning.

The A-lister pair stunned fans by getting hitched in a secret ceremony in December - and it's fair to say they are very much still in the honeymoon period.

Instagrammers were left excited when the Hunger Games actor left the thirstiest comment on his new wife's Instagram yesterday.

It happened after the Wrecking Ball singer posted a picture of herself looking stunning at the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year Gala, wearing a thigh-skimming black glittery dress.

Her husband clearly couldn't take the heat, and expressed this in the comment section in two words: "Good god 🙌🏼".

After he left his flirty comment, fans were all over it, with one user putting: "I seriously can’t take it!! 😍😭 LIAM!! GET👏🏾YOUR👏🏾WIFE👏🏾 @liamhemsworth We can’t handle all THIS 🙌🏾🔥"

Another wrote of how perfect the famous twosome were together, commenting "I felt as if Miley and Liam got married and all is right with the world for a moment," while a third just wrote: "@liamhemsworth SAME😭".

The online exchange comes after Liam revealed Miley had taken his name, during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan.

"It's Miley Ray Hemsworth now, actually," he told them. "She will still be obviously known as Miley Cyrus, but she took my name, which is great. That was honestly one of the best things about it. I didn't ask her to take my name, but she was like, 'No, of course I'm taking your name'"

He also spoke about their wedding, saying they were determined to keep it simple. "We never wanted to do anything too extravagant or big ...," he explained. "We just wanted something simple and organic with immediate family."

After the two tied the knot in December, Miley warmed fans' hearts when she published an intimate love letter she wrote to Liam for his 29th birthday.

The moving note, which was posted on Instagram, listed some of Miley's "favorite things about my favorite dude" and expressed the singer's excitement for their future together.

At one point, the 26-year-old got so swept away, she forgot the pair were married, writing: "I even love when you shrink my favorite t-shirt in the dryer — because having a boyfriend (oh em gee I almost forgot you’re my friggen husband now) that does laundry is pretty much the best thing ever."

She continued: "I love YOU. Unconditionally. In our time together you have displayed what it really means to love thru all circumstances. I respect you and you respect me. If the world had more of this type of understanding we wouldn’t be building more walls but bridges …

"I’m proud of the person you have become and look forward to all the good we will contribute ToGeThEr in the future. You and Me baby … let’s take this dark place head on and shine thru with the light of L.O.V.E."
