Police are reportedly investigating a Gold Coast father after an alleged threatening video was posted to Instagram following a heated family dispute that has captivated social media users across Australia.
Builder Levi Hilton became the center of attention after sharing a video showing him confronting his former partner, Jessica Te Huia, and his 19-year-old son, Lorenzo Hilton.
The footage, originally posted to Hilton's Instagram account, quickly spread online and sparked widespread discussion after Te Huia and Lorenzo later confirmed they were now in a relationship.
The controversy escalated on Tuesday evening when Hilton allegedly posted a video directed at his son on Instagram Stories.
He reportedly said in a video posted to his Instagram story: "Damn, my boy [has] been talking some s***. Acting like his father won't f***ing 'sleep' him."
He then added: "I bought you into this earth and I'll take you f***ing right out of it too, boy. I fing wrote the book, son."
Although the video was later removed, the Daily Mail reported that police are now examining the matter as an issue "between father and son."
When questioned about the alleged video, Hilton denied remembering posting it.
"Nah. I didn't... Not that I can recall," he said. "Is it still there?"
During a separate online rant, Hilton also declared: "I'll happily rot in a cell, so long as I get my s**t out."
At the time of publication, no arrest warrant had reportedly been issued.
As media coverage intensified, Lorenzo appeared to respond publicly to his father through social media.
"Is he forgetting I embarrassed him twice before?" he wrote.
He went on to claim: "One time after he cheap shot me from behind because I didn't want to take the blame for him after he crashed his ute."
Lorenzo also criticized public reactions to the situation, writing: "People are too quick to judge based off what they see on social platforms, and they don't know the backstory behind it all."
He added: "Ain't nobody know my old BOY better than me, and let me tell ya, he's as low as they come."
Te Huia has rejected claims that she betrayed Hilton, insisting their romantic relationship had ended months before she became involved with Lorenzo.
According to her, she and Hilton had been separated for approximately two months before she and Lorenzo began dating.
"Levi and I hadn't been together for two months. Lorenzo and I, yes, we have created a relationship [since the split]," she said.
She also claimed Lorenzo supported her during what she described as an unhappy relationship with his father.
The drama began when Hilton posted footage showing himself entering a bedroom and pulling back the covers to reveal Te Huia and Lorenzo lying in bed together.
In the video, Hilton asks: "Why are you in her bed?"
Te Huia responded: "I'm not doing anything, bro," while telling him to leave the house.
Hilton then demanded: "Are you having sex with my son? Are you? Why is my son in your bed?"
Referring to the footage, he added: "My 19-year-old boy... here's proof. Proof's in the pudding. You're in undies with my son."
Te Huia replied: "I'm always in undies, bro... I haven't even done anything, Levi."
She later alleged that Hilton had entered her property and opened the locked bedroom door using a butter knife. Hilton reportedly acknowledged entering the room in that manner.
Despite criticism online over the age gap between her and Lorenzo, Te Huia defended their relationship.
"He is 19 years old. He is a man," she said.
"I would never in my life look at a 19-year-old and be attracted to a 19-year-old. However, we found comfort in one another."
She acknowledged how the situation might appear to outsiders.
"I will put my hand up and say, given the fact that [I'm in a relationship with Lorenzo] and [he is] Levi's son, I get the perception and I will own that."
"I will say 100 per cent that I get from an outsider's perspective that I know how this looks."
However, she maintained that Lorenzo had consistently supported her.
"But Lorenzo has done nothing but be in my corner and defend me."
Speaking about Hilton's social media posts, she added: "The way this man is portraying me [on social media] is defamation of character."
Screenshots later shared online appeared to show a message Lorenzo sent to his father explaining his feelings for Te Huia.
"Jess holds a special place in my heart and I honestly love her more than anyone or anything in this world, Dad," he wrote.
He continued: "I was always confused about the way you treated her the way you did after all she's done for you... and I wished I could be in your shoes."
Acknowledging the unusual circumstances, Lorenzo added: "I know it's weird but the heart wants what it wants, and I need to be mature about it or I'll lose her and my family and it'll all be for nothing."
He concluded with a plea to his father: "I'm sorry this has happened to you, truly. I love you and that ain't ever gonna change. Just don't make this worse than what it already is."

A teenage boy who became a father at just 12 years old has been banned by a court from having sleepovers with his girlfriend.
Hunter Johnson, now 14, is no longer permitted to “stay overnight” at the home of his 15-year-old girlfriend, Bella Vaughn. The young couple have attracted considerable public scrutiny after appearing on the TLC reality series Unexpected last month.
The programme offers a “raw look at teenage pregnancies and the impact on their families,” and because of how young the pair are, viewers have been closely following their experience of becoming parents.
Bella, who has since gained a large following on TikTok, was 14 when she became pregnant by Hunter, who is approximately two years younger than her.
In a clip posted online, she addressed criticism surrounding their relationship, explaining that Hunter had turned 13 only a few days after the pregnancy occurred.
She said: “I understand it doesn’t make it any better. I understand he was sexually ready faster than I was, and that’s OK, but I was ready when we had sex.”
She also responded to accusations online, adding: “You can all stop saying that it was illegal and that I raped him because I didn’t.”
She continued: “We’ve already talked to the cops about it. It was consensual." The young girl also insisted she 'did not ruin' Hunter's life and 'gave him the option' of walking away, adding: "He chose to stay with me. He chose to take care of our baby."
Bella, who is from Arkansas, gave birth to their son, Wesley, in March last year. In an episode of Unexpected, Hunter shared his thoughts on becoming a father at such a young age, saying: "I was 12 when I found out I was going to be a dad. Now I’m 13. I did not think I would be finishing 8th grade and becoming a dad at the same time."
His mother Stacie Riddle also featured in the show and she told viewers how Hunter's relationship with his dad Casey Johnson, 'fell apart after Bella got pregnant', as he claimed his son had 'ruined' his life.
Hunter’s parents are currently embroiled in a custody battle over their son, and despite his father’s protestations, court files have revealed that Casey has launched a petition to acquire full care of the 14-year-old, after alleging that the teen was in an 'unstable and unwholesome environment'.
Hunter’s father claims that Stacie then gave their son permission to 'move in with his girlfriend who became pregnant soon after'. While Stacie requested the judge to disregard his bid for full custody of their teenager, Casey was awarded temporary joint custody in November 2025.
Subsequently, Casey’s appeal to the courts to ban his son from being allowed to 'live with' Bella or her family, including staying at her house, was granted. The temporary custody order that is currently in effect establishes: "Neither party shall allow the minor child to stay overnight at a romantic partner’s house." Despite claiming a small victory in the form of joint custody last year, Casey remains engaged in a custody battle with Stacie.

Paris Hilton has responded to fans who expressed concern for her son's safety after she posted a video to TikTok.
Hilton, 43, who welcomed her first child, Phoenix, with husband Carter Reum on January 25, 2023, announced the arrival of her daughter, London, born via surrogate in November of the same year.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Hilton expressed her gratitude for her newborn daughter, sharing an adorable photo featuring a pink baby outfit and heart-shaped sunglasses.
"Thankful for my baby girl," she wrote in the caption.
It's evident based on her social media posts that Hilton dotes upon her children, but a recent video has raised concerns.
On Wednesday, Hilton shared a TikTok video featuring her son, Phoenix, exploring a catamaran.
The footage shows the toddler walking across mesh netting above the water and venturing into different parts of the boat.
While the video appeared harmless to some, it sparked concern among parents who noted the absence of a life vest on Phoenix.
One person commented: "Momma, please have him wear a life jacket always on a boat!! Stuff happens. That’s why they’re called accidents."
A second person said: "My anxiety not seeing him in a life jacket! Can never be too safe on the water!"
A third added: "Please please have a life jacket on him, they run off so fast, and the edges are open to the water."
Responding to the comments, Hilton said: "Hey Mamma’s, thank you for the advice & always caring about my #CutesieCrew. It’s a big boat & my husband and I are following him around everywhere & watching like hawks. My babies are my world!"
This isn't the first time Hilton has faced scrutiny over her parenting.
Earlier this year Hilton addressed concerns from fans regarding the safety of her baby’s crib after sharing a video of her children sleeping together.
The socialite posted a heartwarming clip on social media, showing Phoenix and London peacefully asleep in the same room.
In the video, Phoenix is seen tucked under a cozy white blanket, with Hilton affectionately commenting: "Sleepy. So cute. Oh. This little face."
Hilton then panned the camera to her daughter, who was snugly wrapped in a pink blanket inside a bassinet beside her brother's crib. "Oh, the princess," she remarks lovingly.
While many fans admired the sweet moment, some took to TikTok to share their concerns about safe sleep practices for the young children.
One user commented: "Paris, I love this so much! Be sure to check on safe sleep practices for your sweet little babies," to which Hilton responded graciously: "Thank you for letting me know."

A man has inadvertently gone viral on social media after insulting his girlfriend's father without realizing he had a doorbell camera.
According to The Mirror, the video was shared on TikTok by TikTok user @Corighteous, who captioned it: "When you realize her dad has a doorbell cam."
The awkward vid, which was clearly filmed from the surveillance camera of the dad's property, shows a bearded man in a baseball cap and an orange hoodie approaching the front door.
Take a look at the hilarious video of the incident right here:The bearded man can be seen talking to someone on the phone. But unfortunately for him, he either didn't notice the door cam or failed to grasp the fact that it had a microphone built into it picking up every word he said.
As a result of this, he didn't exercise verbal caution when he said audibly: "Alright, well, yeah, I gotta go meet this d***head" - in reference to his girlfriend's dad.
But he instantly realized his huge blunder, and then looked directly into the camera while muttering: "Uhhh, god damn it," and quickly getting out of the line of sight of the lens.
The deeply embarrassing incident clearly resonated with other users on the platform, and The Mirror reports that the original managed to accrue more than 2 million views and many more comments before being made private.
Some TikTok users opined that the woman who was dating the man in the video was better off without him after the camera seemingly unmasked his true nature.
For instance, one person wrote: "Gone. If he feels that way about her family, she dodged a bullet knowing it now."
A second added: "So what kind of flowers do you want for your funeral?"
Then this commenter stated: "If he's talking like that on the phone he's thinking that way about her for real. Lose the player."
However, others stepped in to defend the man from critics.
For example, one person wrote: "Bro I talk like that, even about friends, strangers, coworkers. It's not personal."
Then this user stated: "I would've invited him on in. Welcome to the family bruh!"
Finally, this TikTok user commented: "My dad would have found this hysterical [...] they woulda been laughing over this with a beer."

Following the backlash that a mom received after hugging her son at a football game, her son has spoken out in her defense.
As previously reported, Amber Wright, a single mom from Utah, shared footage of herself and her 16-year-old son Brixton sharing a hug after a football game.
The clip, which shows Wright wrapping her limbs around her son and being lifted off the ground, has been viewed a staggering nine million times.
The video has gained so much traction, that the mom has been propelled from 1,500 followers to 25,000 followers in a short space of time.
But as is typical on the internet, what many would perceive to be a harmless show of love between a mother and her son was met with a wave of criticism.
"I was so proud, I was a proud mom hugging her kid," Wright told Today.
"I never expected it to turn into something where people are like, 'You're sexually abusing him! You're grooming him! I’m calling child protective services,'" she continued.
Some of the critical comments read: "It would’ve been cute if it was his girlfriend, but not a mother," and: "I don’t think anyone has an issue with your son picking you up, just the [fact] that it appears you're straddling your son. You’re also dressed pretty sexy for a high school football game."
Brixton has since spoken out about the backlash that the video received, and it's obvious that he thinks there is nothing sinister about the way that he and his mother embraced.
Writing a comment under one of his mother's Instagram posts, the 16-year-old said: "How about you leave my mom alone. She’s never abused me, done anything sexual with me or my friends, or groomed me. She’s my mom; she is my hero. The video of us hugging was a HUG. Go bother someone else and maybe hug your own kids. You all need Jesus damn."
Furthering their defense, Wright said: "I come from a very affectionate family. I hug my dad every time I see him. What you saw on the football field is just how we are. Brix will pick me up and squeeze me and then put me back down."
Following the tragic passing of Brixton's father on April 4, the 16-year-old was wearing a commemorative jersey in his honor and Wright claimed that this was the catalyst for them both being overcome with emotion, resulting in the hug being a "little longer" than normal.
"He was feeling emotional, and I think as his mom, I’m his safe space," Wright said.
Although the mother and son duo have been subjected to harsh criticism, they haven't been without their supporters.
Wright has claimed that she received many messages of support from people who wanted to share their own experiences.
Positive comments can also be found underneath the video, with one person saying: "You go mom! People don’t know the full truth around a situation because they’re just too busy judging the cover and not even bothering to look on the inside."
A second added: "I feel so bad for you and your son. Nobody deserves to be publicly bashed. This was a ridiculous example of who people have become."
Given the circumstances around the loss of a family member, I'm sure we can all agree that the hug isn't as sinister as some are making out.

A mom who faced backlash for the way she embraced her 16-year-old son after his football game is refusing to take down a video of the moment.
Amber Wright, a single mom from Utah, posted what she thought was no more than a sweet video of herself celebrating her son's football victory - a video that she ended up gaining a great deal of flak for
In the clip, which has racked up over 9 million views, Wright and her teenage son, Brixton, share a moment of affection following his team's home game win.
"I was so proud," Wright told Today. "I was a proud mom hugging her kid."
When Wright shared the video on her Instagram account on August 18, she had no more than 1,500 followers. Following the viral post, she now has more than 19,000 followers.
However, the comments she received on the video were overwhelmingly negative, with some commenters calling into question the nature of their embrace.
One comment read: "It would’ve been cute if it was his girlfriend, but not a mother." Another commenter said: "I wonder how many of his friends are allowed to stay over. My son wouldn’t be allowed for sleepovers at their house."
A third critic penned: "I'm a single mom and very close to my sons. I hug them in public without hesitation - but straddling them in high heels would cross a line neither of us would be comfortable with. To each their own, but this appears to be an unusual relationship."
In response to the comments, Wright told Today: "I never expected it to turn into something where people are like, 'You're sexually abusing him! You're grooming him! I’m calling child protective services.'"
It's been a month since the video in question was posted and Wright is refusing to take it down, saying in a new clip posted to her Instagram account: "It was literally a hug between my son and I."
She went on: "So if you're one of the people that happens to see something immoral or sexual or wrong with that then I'm just going to say that's on you. I don't have anything else to say and I'm not going to try and explain my actions and I'm not going to take it down."
Brixton himself has since weighed in on the debacle, writing in a comment on Instagram: "How about you leave my mom alone. She’s never abused me, done anything sexual with me or my friends, or groomed me. She’s my mom; she is my hero. The video of us hugging was a HUG. Go bother someone else and maybe hug your own kids. You all need Jesus damn."
While there are plenty of negative comments still flooding in for Wright, she has also received several private messages that have been "supportive" and "kind." Many people have rallied around the proud mom on Instagram, sharing their own personal experiences.
"I feel so bad for you and your son. Nobody deserves to be publicly bashed. This was a ridiculous example of who people have become," one person wrote.
A second said: "You go mom! People don’t know the full truth around a situation because they’re just too busy judging the cover and not even bothering to look on the inside."
